McHenry Preseason ID: Stats Posted

The McHenry Preseason ID Showcase took place on Sunday Janurary 31st at Pro Player Academy in McHenry, Illinois. Today we will take a look at the top statistical performers from the event. 

Huntley 3B Jeff Heinrich had the top exit velocity of the event at 96 mph and also the top infield velocity throwing 83 mph across the diamond.

Utility man Jason Cast of Lake Forest showed off his athleticism and arm strength at the event. Cast ran an event best 4.02 down the line, threw 88 mph from the outfield, and ran his fastball up to 86 mph.

Currently ranked No. 49 in the Illinois Class of 2017 Matt McCumber, had the best fastball of the event working 84-86 topping out at 87 mph. McCumber is committed to Northern Illinois.

Huntley C/2B Joe Rizzo had a big day in the workout having the best pop times and catcher velocity at 2.05-2.09 and throwing 79 mph from the crouch. He also showed strength thru contact with a 90 mph exit velocity from a tee.
