McHenry Future Prospects Showcase: Preview
January 23, 2019
This Sunday, Jan. 27, the PBR Illinois team will host its first Future Prospects Showcase and Education Camp of 2019 at Pro Player Academy in McHenry, Ill. This event is for players representing either the high school graduating class of 2023 or 2024.
This showcase has a dual function: to teach prospects about the showcase atmosphere and the recruiting process as well as to identify young talent who will be in the mix for invitations later in the year to join us for the annual Junior Future Games event in August. For more information on last year’s Junior Future Games, click here.
For most participants, this will be their first showcase event. We’ll use our time on Sunday morning to teach the prospects in attendance what scouts are on the lookout for, how to comport themselves in the showcase setting, and what to expect from the recruiting process. Our staff will also be evaluating the talent making its way to McHenry on Sunday in an effort to more accurately track the progress these young prospects make throughout their careers.
There’s still room to register, too. For sign-up information, click here. To view the list of the 60-plus prospects set to attend Sunday’s showcase, click here.
