Congratulations to all players who have officially signed their national letters of intent today.  On this symbolic day of achievement, we have several more commitments from around Illinois:

Joey Marciano, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound LHP from Clemente HS, has committed to John A. Logan JC. Marciano emerged at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase in October as one of the premier left-handed prospects in Illinois. Marciano impressed with a heavy fastball that topped at 88 mph, in addition to a sharp 12/6 curveball.

Oakton CC has landed several more prospects: INF Trayvond Crockett, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed hitting 3B/RHP from Brooks HS, is currently ranked No. 141 in the 2013 class; Jake McCabe, an athletic RHP/INF from Lincoln-Way North HS, is ranked No. 145 in the 2013 class;  Dan Doherty, a RHP from Lincoln-Way Central HS; and Josh Reid, a speedy INF/OF from Lincoln-Way North HS.

Oakton also announced that INF Brett Synek (Glenbrook North HS) has committed to Evansville, and RHP/OF Kenny Lowden (South Elgin HS) has committed to Judson.

Bryan Polak, an athletic outfielder from Marist HS, commits to St. Xavier University.

Wendall Ferguson, a 6-foot-1, 185 pound LHP/1B from Brother Rice HS, has committed to Claflin University in South Carolina. Ferguson, ranked No. 124 in the 2013 class, recently showed well at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase with a mid-80s fastball.

Illinois Central College landed Mason McCoy, an athletic SS from Washington HS. McCoy, who’s ranked No. 69 in Illinois’ Class of 2013, hit .564 with 6 homers, 12 doubles, 10 triples and 50 RBI for Washington as a junior. Illinois Central College also announced that sophomore RHP Ryan Vansaghi (Pekin HS) has committed to Morehead State.

Lewis University landed several prospects: RHP Brad Elmore (Bolingbrook HS), RHP Kyle Klosak (College of DuPage; Naperville North HS), 1B Brandon Collins (South Suburban College; Lincoln-Way North HS); RHP James Holub (Wauconda HS).

Tyler Hall, a RHP from Crystal Lake South HS, has committed to Tusculum University, a D2 program in Tennessee.

Heartland CC sophomore INF Andre Sopena (Huntley HS) has committed to play at Oakland University.
