Lots of commitments across Illinois

Lots of recruiting news from around Illinois:
Mike Yacko, a RHP from Oak Lawn HS, has committed to John A. Logan JC. Yacko, a 6-foot, 185-pound right-hander, was one of the top unsigned arms in the state. Yacko established himself as a frontline pitcher at Brother Rice. Over the summer, the right-hander transferred to Oak Lawn HS. Yacko earned top prospect honors at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase after he showed an 86-88 mph fastball and a and hard-biting slider.
Ian Lewandowski, a RHP from Naperville Central HS, has committed to the University of Illinois-Chicago. Lewandowski has been a three-year standout for the Redhawks, and was on the 2010 Class 4A state championship squad. As a junior last year, he went 7-3 with a 1.51 ERA.
Dar Townsend, a 6-foot-2 RHP from Libertyville HS, has committed to Augustana. Townsend has been a three-year ace for the Wildcats.
Anthony Mack, a left-handed hitting shortstop from Libertyville HS, has committed to Grinnell. A two-year starter, Mack is tearing it up this spring. He’s batting .520 with a 1.403 OBS.
Ryan Hudspeth, a former standout from St. Charles North HS, has committed to Michigan State. Hudsepth is currently at Elgin CC.
Jake Rubin, a LHP from Highland Park HS, has committed to Wabash Valley JC. Rubin impressed at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase with his 86-87 mph fastball.
Jake Christensen, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound RHP/1B from Metamora HS, has committed to Wisconsin-Whitewater.
