Marist (21-14) hammered the Spartans behind Ryan Kairis and Brett Callaghan. Kairis fired a six-hitter at MC while Callaghan doubled and drove in three Redhawk runs. Blake Bieniek doubled and plated a run while Eric Hansen chipped in with a single and an RBI.
Highland Park 6, Prospect 5 (9 innings)
Highland Park (20-12) won in walk-off style on a Knight miscue in nine thrilling innings in Libertyville. David Hochstadt had a pair of doubles and three RBI to lead the HP attack. It was hit or miss for the Prospect batters against Giant starter Liam Carter. Carter struck out 15 Knight batters in his 6 â…“ innings of work but allowed five runs and six hits to get a no-decision. Bradley Kaplan fired 2 â…” innings of hitless relief to pick up the win.

Marmion (16-10) blanked the Trojans behind a combined three-hit shutout from Michigan State-bound Alex Troop and Jake Esp. Troop fanned an even dozen in his six scoreless innings of work to get the win. Esp fanned two in his scoreless seventh inning to nail down the save. The Cadets picked up two unearned runs in the fourth to gain the victory.
