No. 29 Oak Park 12, York 1
Oak Park (3-2, 1-0) defeated York (1-4, 0-1) behind Pat Rumoro and Andrew Hennings. Rumoro had two singles and drove home four Huskie runs while Hennings had two singles and plated three for OPRF.
No. 29 Oak Park 10, York 8
Oak Park (4-2, 2-0) defeated York (1-5, 0-2) behind Pat Rumoro, who had two more hits, including a triple and plated three Huskie runs. Jeremy Gaines had two hits, including a double and had two RBI. York was led by Mike Homan, who fell a triple shy of hitting for the cycle and plated four Duke runs.
No. 2 Lincoln-Way North 14, No. 6 Plainfield North 4
Lincoln-Way North (5-3) defeated Plainfield North (4-2) behind Brandon Butler, who had two doubles and plated three Phoenix runs. Pat Troike chipped in with two singles and two RBI. Purdue-bound Kyle Ostrowski struck out 10 and allowed four runs and five hits in five innings to get the win. Bryan Van Duser doubled, homered and had three RBI for Plainfield North.
No. 3 Mount Carmel 13, Richards 3
Mount Carmel (9-0) defeated Richards (3-2) behind Bailey Egan, who was 3-for-3 with a bomb and five RBI. Neil Novosei also went deep for the Caravan, plating three runs. Jack Pappas went the distance, firing a seven-hitter.
No.43 St.Joseph-Ogden 7, Teutopolis 3 (9 innings)
St. Joseph-Ogden (8-2) swept away Teutopolis (5-2),scoring four runs in the top of the ninth. EIU-bound Cole Berry led the Spartan attack with two hits, including a two-run double in the Spartan four-run ninth. Kaskaskia CC-bound Chase Gadeau singled and plated two Spartan runs. Clayton Slifer had a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth to complete his five scoreless one-hit innings of relief, to pick up the win. On Tuesday at 4:30, the PBR’s Drake Skleba will be in St. Joseph for the Okaw Valley Conference showdown between the Sages of Monticello (9-0) and the Spartans.
