Fox River Open: Statistical Analysis

The Fox River Open took place on Tuesday, June 11 at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. The event was open to all high school classes from around the state of Illinois.
We've already released our Quick Hits, that features our first impressions of the event with some of the top performers. Below, the statistical analysis will break down to top numbers from each statistical category recorded at the event.

Max Fastball
6-foot-4, 190-pound, strong-bodied, right-handed pitcher, Blake Oesterblad, led the way with the firmest fastball of the day and put together one of the more complete bullpens on the day. Not far behind was 2022 Ryan Bibb, who also has a physical frame and topped out at 83 mph.
60 Yard Dash
Ryan Bibb, who finds himself near or at the top of multiple categories ran the second-best 60 on the day, a 6.98. 2020 Rocco Catalano led the way with a 6.97.
Exit Velocity
2021 Jake Tapia, who had a solid all-around showing, topped the exit velocity category with 89 mph off a tee. Tapia also showed some of the best bat strength on the day, during BP.
Infield Velocity
Bibb, whose arm play clean and loose led the infield velocity category by a wide margin. The arm strength also plays on the mound,
Outfield Velocity
Zach Hollister, who topped the list, has a short, loose arm action and his throws played true with carry.
Catcher Velocity
Michael Davis, who attends St. Charles North (2019 4A state runner-up), led the event in arm strength from behind the plate and the lowest pop times. 2021 Trevor Rockweiler was not far behind in either category.

Davis and Rockweiler, the same two backstops top the list once again.
