We’ve watched this Class of 2012 mature from scrawny eighth-graders to an extremely deep and talented crop of prospects.  Hard to believe, but the Class of 2012 is moving on to bigger and better things. No doubt you will be reading about the future successes of many of these players in college and beyond.

With their high school careers ended, we bring to you the final Class of 2012 rankings in Illinois. Ryan Borucki, the LHP from Mundelein HS, once again sits atop the rankings, even though he missed a chunk of the season with an elbow injury. But not by much.

Oak Forest RHP Kyle Funkhouser, Carmel LHP Alex Young, Marian Catholic LHP Brett Lilek, Niles West SS Kevin Ross, Joliet Catholic LHP Kevin Duchene, St. Rita C Zach Soria, Highland Park C Jason Goldstein, Providence INF/RHP Ryan Koziol, Prospect RHP Jack Landwehr and Galesburg C Chad Johnson round out the top 10.

Big risers this spring include: Glenbrook South LHP Sully Stadler, Homewood-Flossmoor LHP Daniel Lietz, Lemont LHP Tyler Jay, and Oak Park OF/LHP Zack Weigel, to name a few.
