No. 2 Plainfield North 12, Oswego East 8

Tyler Strzelczyk went 3-for-3 with two doubles and six RBI and Tom Szczasny homered and drove in four runs for the Phoenix.
No. 8 St. Laurence 15, Argo 1
Jimmy Burnette hit a grand slam, Tommy Farrell scored four runs and Anthony Rios drove in three for the Vikings.
No. 9 St. Charles North 16, Glenbard North 4
Brendan Joyce, Zach Mettetal, John Legare and Conor Bizik went a combined 12-for-12 with 14 RBI for the North Stars. Legare homered and had two doubles.
No. 11 Prairie Ridge 18, Larkin 8
James Mikolajczewski went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI and Robin Kim had four hits in the victory.
No. 12 Providence 7, T.F. South 0
Connor Hilty, Kurt Dankovich and Matt Trzesnewski combined on a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk and Tom Kelley had a two-run double for the Celtics.
No. 19 Marian Catholic 4, Homewood-Flossmoor 3
Mark DiLiua hit a walk-off three-run homer as Marian scored all four of its runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Tim Schneider’s two-run double in the first inning gave Neuqua the lead for good. James Kulak struck out 10 in 5 ⅓ innings and Connor Retkowski got the final five outs for the save.
Stevenson 5, Glenbrook South 3
Henry Marchese and Jack Cappalli hit home runs for the Patriots. Justin Stark pitched 2⅓ perfect innings to pick up the win in relief. Christian Dutler had two RBI in the victory.
Lincoln-Way East 12, Stagg 10
Andrew Garcia went 3-for-3 with three RBI, Tyler Krause went 2-for-4 with a home run and the Griffins jumped out to a 10-0 lead and survived Stagg’s comeback.
Plainfield South 5, Bradley-Bourbonnais 4
Jordan Mikel’s walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the seventh completed South’s comeback from a 4-0 deficit. Antonio Guitierrez went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs in the victory.
New Trier 2, Maine East 1
Will Jamieson struck out nine in five innings of one-hit relief and the Trevians avoided what would have been a monumental upset thanks to Dylan Horvitz’s two-run single in the fifth inning.
Elk Grove 6, Leyden 0
Brett Taucher struck out nine in six innings of three-hit ball and A.J. Lorenz went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Grenadiers, who broke it open with four runs in the fifth.
St. Charles East 3, Bartlett 2
Steve Podany pitched a three-hitter with two strikeouts and two walks in the victory. Kyle Tiltges went 2-for-3 and Austin Gift drove home a key insurance run with a sacrifice fly that made it 3-1 after six innings. Cameron Mays had an RBI double for Bartlett.
Libertyville 3, Grayslake Central 0
Tim Calamari had a two-run double and four Libertyville pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout.
Glenbrook North 3, Buffalo Grove 0
Noah Taffel’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth broke a scoreless tie. Hikaru Ozone and Kevin Burnside had two hits apiece for North. Michael Oh and Tommy Gertner combined on the shutout.
Warren 7, Hersey 3
Matt Temaner had two hits and Matt Burch drove in two runs for the Blue Devils.
Minooka 5, Normal West 4
Pinch-hitter Patrick Rumsey delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh for Minooka. Jon Butler and Brandon Rossiter homered in the victory.
Lyons 14, Young 4
Griffin Schultz went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI for the Lions. Michael Phelan tripled, singled and drove in three.
Lake Park 4, Rolling Meadows 1
Jim McDonald struck out 11 in the complete-game victory, allowing a run on six hits and four walks. Colin Fowich tripled, doubled and had two RBI.
Oak Lawn 3, Reavis 1
Billy Dunne allowed an unearned run on five hits in 6⅓ innings and Patrick Slattery went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run in the victory.
Lane 14, York 4
Simon Matthews went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI and Felix Rosario and Johnny Colombo scored seven runs between them for Lane.
Grant 8, Crystal Lake South 7
Grant’s Ben Kusiak and James Pendley hit back-to-back homers in the top of the seventh to force extra innings and Grant pushed across a run in the ninth to advance. Kusiak went 4-for-4 and Bryan Libby struck out three in two scoreless innings for the win.
Alton 3, Quincy 1
Jacob St. Peters struck out six in four innings and Devin Colley pitched three scoreless innings of relief for the Redbirds.
Huntley 8, Rockford East 1
Adam Smylie pitched six innings of two-hit ball and Jeff Heinrich had two hits and two RBI for the Red Raiders.
Notre Dame 13, Taft 3
Tim Simon homered and had five RBI and Kevin Garcia also went deep for the Dons.
Geneva 11, Schaumburg 5
Machesney Park Harlem 6, DeKalb 5
Riverside-Brookfield 11, Morton 7

CLASS 3A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS
No. 18 Wauconda 17, Northside 1
Luke Weller doubled, tripled and had three RBI for Wauconda. Trevor Sefcik had four RBI in the victory.
No. 22 Rockford Christian 1, Belvidere 0
Neil Thomas doubled home Alec Powell in the bottom of the fourth as last year's 2A state champion advanced. Jack Gugle, Nolan Gazouski and Powell combined on a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts. Gazouski struck out six in three hitless innings.
Coal City 1, Joliet Catholic 0
Brad Littleton pitched a two-hitter to out-duel Drake Fellows. Jared Skubic’s RBI single in the first inning accounted for the only run. Fellows allowed five hits and struck out nine in his only loss in two seasons.
St. Viator 2, Marian Central 1
Dan Sullivan homered and doubled and Cole Kmet struck out seven in 4 ⅓ innings of relief. Shaun Falbo struck out the only two batters he faced for the save.
Lakes 3, Harvard 2
Tim Ohlwein struck out seven in 4 ⅓ innings and Ben Milewski got the final eight outs, including a game-ending double-play on a suicide squeeze attempt in the bottom of the seventh. Milewski also drove in two runs and Tom Jones and Matt Milewski each went 2-for-2 and scored a run for Lakes.
Wheaton Academy 6, Vernon Hills 5
Noah Ritchie hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh as Wheaton Academy rallied from a 5-0 deficit.
Sycamore 7, Mendota 4
Jack Mizgalski hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh. He also struck out 10 in 6 ⅓ innings before being relieved by Tyler Maveus, who retired the two batters he faced for the win.
Marmion 9, Aurora Central Catholic 2
Matt Henkel homered, doubled and had two RBI in the victory. Collin Gibson went the distance for the win.
Evergreen Park 10, Vocational 0
Dan Smith hit a home run and Connor McKeever struck out 10 in the five-inning victory.
Mt. Zion 8, Rantoul 0
Sammy Schultz doubled twice and drove in four and Trevor Durand struck out six in six scoreless innings for Mt. Zion.
Herscher 7, Ottawa 6
Brigham Haase’s two-run double plated the tying and winning runs as Herscher rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh. Tyler Fisher homered in the victory. Karter Lowery homered, doubled and drove in three for Ottawa.

Neil Freeman went 3-for-5 with five RBI and Tyler Elliot struck out six in five scoreless innings of two-hit ball for the Rams. Alex Garcia doubled twice and scored two runs.
