No. 16 Oak Park 7, No. 1 Brother Rice 6
Andrew Hennings’ walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth ended Brother Rice’s winning streak at 30. Evan Bell tied it with a sacrifice fly earlier in the inning after Jack Guzek’s RBI single in the top of the eighth gave Brother Rice a 6-5 lead.
Belleville West 5, No. 2 O’Fallon 4
Nicholas Oglesby’s two-run single gave West a 5-2 lead in the sixth inning. Ben Gore hit a home run and Lucas Vallandignham struck out eight in the complete-game victory. Hayden Schafer hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth for O’Fallon.
No. 3 Plainfield North 1, Neuqua Valley 0
Connor Peplow struck out 12, walked none and allowed four harmless singles to outduel Neuqua’s Mason LeBreck, who pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks. Justin Yeager had an RBI single in the third inning for North.
No. 4 Lincoln-Way North 1, Plainfield East 0
Luke Bertolani’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh accounted for the only run. Mitch Hunter pitched four innings one one-hit relief, striking out four and walking one, to pick up the victory.
No. 6 Edwardsville 9, Triad 0
Joel Quirin went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI for Edwardsville. Tyler Hosto, Andrew Frank and Austin Ruesch combined on a four-hitter.
No. 24 Marian Catholic 1, No. 7 Providence 0
Matt Mulhearn pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts and three walks for Marian. Alex Gutter had an RBI single in the third inning.
No. 8 St. Rita 4, Andrean (IN) 0
Steven Washilewski struck out nine and allowed five hits in the shutout and the Mustangs prevailed despite managing just two hits.
No. 9 St. Laurence 7, Lockport 6
Jake Diaz’s two-run triple plated the tying and go-ahead runs as the Vikings rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh. Jimmy Burnette drove in a pair in the victory.
Montini 7, No. 10 Mount Carmel 5
Nicolas Malik went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Ryan Nelson added two hits for the Broncos. Alek Thomas tripled home two runs for Mount Carmel.
Civic Memorial 6, No. 11 Waterloo 4
Corey Price scored three runs and pitched two hitless innings of relief to finish off the upset. Starter Colin Hall allowed an earned run on four hits while striking out five in four innings for Civic Memorial.
No. 12 Sandburg 10, Andrew 5
Evan Tenuta’s three-run double was the big blow as Sandburg scored seven times in the fourth inning. Sean McShane went 2-for-2 in the victory.
No. 17 Lemont 4, Marist 3
Garrett Acton allowed two runs on five hits and struck out seven in six innings for Lemont. Nick Wisz’s two-run double gave Lemont a 3-0 lead in the second inning.
No. 18 Peoria Notre Dame 12, Springfield Southeast 2
Luke Shadid had two triples, a double and four RBI and struck out five in 2⅔ innings to earn the victory in relief. John Epley hit a home run and Jimmy Kelley had three hits for the Irish.
Mattoon 12, No. 22 Normal Community 7
Loyola 7, No. 25 Niles Notre Dame 1
David Blankenship scattered six hits in the complete-game victory. Jack Blindt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs for the Ramblers.

Grayslake Central 8, Burlington Central 3
Bryce Gniadek struck out six in five innings of two-hit ball to earn the victory in relief as Grayslake Central rallied from a 3-0 deficit. Sam Ruhlman’s three-run double was the big blow in the five-run fifth.
Elk Grove 1, Barrington 0
Christian Camacho pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks and went 3-for-4 for the Grenadiers. Brooks Gosswein pitched six scoreless innings for Barrington.
St. Francis 8, Aurora Central Catholic 6
Brett Whelton went 3-for-4, Nick Cooney had two hits and three RBI and St. Francis rallied for five runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Fenwick 7, Jones 4
Anthony Cavalieri’s three-run homer in the fourth inning broke a 4-4 tie.
Glenbrook South 3, Homewood-Flossmoor 2
Dan Jenkins pitched six innings of four-hit ball and Billy Loggarakis went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the victory.
Lyons 5, Lincoln-Way East 2
Emilio Guitron allowed two runs on four hits in the complete-game victory. Justin Williams’

Aaron Bonnell went 3-for-4 with four RBI and Jacob Kanallakan had a two-run triple for the Redbirds.
Sacred-Heart Griffin 15, Quincy 5
Tommy Drake, Brian Zanger and Mason Hale had three RBI apiece in the victory.
Limestone 7, Springfield 5
Austin Wood went 3-for-4 and James Welton homered in the victory.
Lakes 3, Grayslake North 1
Tim Ohlwein pitched five scoreless innings of three-hit ball and Matt Milewski belted a two-run double for Lakes.
Grant 6, Palatine 5
Matt Mason and Ramon Guardado drove in two runs apiece and Grant pushed across an unearned run in the top of the seventh to break a 5-5 tie.
Lake Zurich 2, Fremd 0
Ben Cornelius allowed four hits in six innings, striking out six and walking three for Lake Zurich. Tyler Snep hit a solo home run in the victory.
New Trier 2, Kaneland 0
Will Jamieson pitched six innings of three-hit ball, striking out three and walking none for the Trevians. Eric Nicholas went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Bartlett 7, Streamwood 1
Cameron Mays went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI for Bartlett. Matt Johnson pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks.
Metea Valley 1, Warren 0
Matt Vass pitched 6 ⅓ innings of two-hit ball with seven strikeouts and five walks and Trey Long retired the only two batters he faced for the save. Jack Feeley had an RBI single in the first inning.
Deerfield 9, Lake Forest 0
Sam Fradin homered and had five RBI to power Deerfield. Luka Kerstein went 3-for-3 and scored three runs. Miles Powell struck out six in 5⅓ scoreless innings.

Josh Smith went 3-for-4 as DGN built an 8-4 lead and hung on.

Glenn Albanese pitched five innings of two-hit ball with seven strikeouts and three walks.

George Manikas allowed an unearned run on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks for JCA. Dan Devine went 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Erik Hedmark drove in two runs and Nick Musielewicz went 2-for-2 for the Chargers.

Eric Mercker went 3-for-3 and the Bison exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Connor Lowman pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks for West.
Lincoln-Way Central 8, Manteno 1
Cam Post had two hits and Chad Tucker drove home three runs for Central.

Vinny Baez hit a two-run homer and Ian Duke and Trevor Newton combined on a two-hitter for Central.

Marco Perez’s two-run single plated the tying and winning runs as Lane rallied for three in the bottom of the seventh. Timothy Eiden struck out seven in 3⅓ perfect innings for the win.

Jacob Cavanaugh struck out 10 in five innings of two-hit ball for Sycamore.
Glenbard West 3, Glenbard South 2
Kevin Spencer singled in the top of the eighth and scored the go-ahead run on an error. Zach Lutz and three relievers limited South to five hits.
