Brian Lyle tripled and drove home two runs in the Vikings’ semifinal round loss in the Chris Moon Memorial Cherry Field Classic in Tucson, AZ.

Brendan Murphy had three hits and Brett Parolo and Ryan Fairweather had two apiece for Mundelein.
St. Viator 3, Meridian (ID) 2
Chris Lolli took one for the team, getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth to win it for the Lions. St. Viator forced extra innings on Brad McCullough’s RBI infield single in the seventh.
Salem 12, Centralia 3
Cole Steward and Nathan Roth had three RBI apiece for Salem. Steward also scored three runs.
Yorkville 10, Jackson Southside 3
Cameron Van Boekel and Brady Kaupilla drove in three runs apiece for the Foxes.
Granite City 14, Dupo 7
Anthony Bonvincino had four hits and Gabe Jarman went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs for Granite City.
Freeburg 14, Valmeyer 9
Ty Dill doubled, tripled, drove in three and scored three more for Freeburg. Jake Krekel and Easton Wallace had three hits each for Valmeyer.
Hampshire 7, Newark 1
Alex Mahaz and three relievers combined for a no-hitter for the Whip-Purs. Mahaz struck out five and walked three in four innings. Kyle Homa had two hits and two RBI.
Centennial 13, St. Paul 3
Dalton Webber and Alec Thomas each had two hits and two RBI for Centennial.
Libertyville 19, Moon Valley (AZ) 11
Daniel Marks went 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs and Tim Calamari had two triples, three RBI and three runs for Libertyville.
