The Prep Baseball IA Rising Stars ID- Central Iowa event took place Sunday, April 28th, 2024. The event was held at SportsPlex West in Waukee, IA. The event featured prospects from the 2028 grad class; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents and were evaluated by our scouting staff. Thank you to the players, parents, and my staff for a great event.

For most participants, this will be their first showcase event - an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Overall the event has four main functions.

• Part of this event is educational with a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level.
• The second function of this is for players to create baseline numbers for themselves to improve and see where they compare to other players their age across the state.
• The third reason for this event is for PBR to have an in-depth look at the best young players and the future of the state. 
• The fourth function of the event is to identify players to represent the states of Iowa & Nebraska at the PBR Junior Future Games held at LakePoint in Cartersville GA in July of 2024.

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the Prep Baseball IA Rising Stars ID event.
