"I chose the University of Iowa because it has been my dream since I was young. Growing up in Iowa drove me to want to play for the Hawkeyes. Until the end of my junior year, I was committed to playing for Johnson County Community College in Kansas City with the thought of going to Iowa after one or two years. But once I got the call from Coach Sutherland, it was a no-brainer to commit to Iowa. Their coaching staff made me feel welcomed and wanted as soon as I stepped on campus. They will develop me into the best player and person I can be. Coach Heller also has a winning background and continues to take Iowa baseball to another level every year. Heller has built an exceptional culture at Iowa that I want to participate in."
