September 30, 2014
Chase Hager, OF, Davenport Assumption, Class of 2015
PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Hager: Iowa Western and Coe College have expressed some interest in me. I was invited to an evaluation camp at the University of Iowa as well.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
Hager: I have not taken any visits or have scheduled any anywhere due to a busy sports schedule. I am planning on scheduling a few after my senior football season.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Hager: I am looking for a school that is known for high academics and having a good medical program because I am hoping to major in pre-med. The location of the school does not matter to me. As long as a college is a good fit for my athletic and academic life, then I will be happy with it.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
Hager: Some of the highlights of my junior year was my grand-slam during our game against Pleasant Valley to help take the lead in the game, having two hits in the gut-wrenching semi-final game of the state tournament that helped rally my team to a victory, and winning the 3A state championship in 2014.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
Hager: My goals for my senior year are to receive 1st team all-state in 3A, to win a 2nd state championship, and to commit to a college that is the right fit for me.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Hager: I also play football and I wrestle.
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
Hager: My ACT score is a 29 and my GPA is a 4.09
