PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
CRABB: I have been contacted by the University of Northwestern - St. Paul, Simpson College, Grand View University, and Central College.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
CRABB: I have visited the campus of the University of Northwestern - St. Paul and Central College.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
CRABB: Throughout my college search, I have been looking for schools that fit both a high academic standard and a tradition of athletic excellence. I am also looking for a college that is located in the Midwest region.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
CRABB: My full season highlights include a .430 on base percentage with a total of 28 stolen bases in 32 attempts. Along with this, I had a .959 fielding percentage in 147 attempts. Throughout the year I had an ERA of 1.54 with 67 strikeouts and only 8 walks in 63 and two-thirds innings pitched. My individual game highlights include pitching a complete game shutout in the first round of districts against Ottumwa while having nine strikeouts and only allowing four hits and one walk. Additionally, I held the #1 ranked Johnston Dragons to 2 runs over six innings pitched with eight strikeouts and only giving up five hits and one walk. On average this team scored 8.8 runs per game and led the 4A division in this category in the state of Iowa. Lastly, my year was ended on a high note when my teammates voted me as MVP and team captain. I was also voted first team all-conference and second team all-district.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
CRABB: For my senior season, I am personally hoping to make the all-state team this year. More importantly, I am looking to help lead the East High Scarlets to another state tournament berth. I am also hoping to break the 100 strikeouts barrier throughout the duration of next year’s season.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
CRABB: I currently attend Grand View Christian where I play quarterback and safety for the football team, and I play forward on the basketball team. I was the starting forward on back-to-back state championship basketball teams. Grand View Christian does not offer a baseball team which is why I have the opportunity to play for Des Moines East.
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
CRABB: I took the ACT on December 9th, 2017 and achieved a 25. I took the test for a second time on October 27th, 2018, and I am awaiting the results. I currently have a 4.39 GPA on a 4.0 point scale.
