3/11/18- 6-foot-1, 180-pound left-handed pitcher. Came into event as #33 ranked player in Iowa 2019 class. Has made quality velo jump over last 12 months. Steps in front to turn hips into medium balance point, strength in lower half, stays over rubber, clean compact arm action, has direction and momentum down mound, with arm speed out front. Fastball was 85-87 mph, touching 89 mph once, with slight running action and solid feel for zone. Breaking ball is above avg., tilted plane with sweeping sharp brake, 1/7 shape, and thrown with solid arm speed. Commands changeup well to arm-side of plate with solid fading action.
3/5/17- 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Drop and drive mechanics, extension with glove side, some herk and jerk creating deception in delivery. Clean arm action out front from ¾ slot producing 78-80 mph fastballs with running action down in zone. Sweeping action on breaking ball; occasionally on side of ball causing flat Frisbee action. Changeup is heavy in zone with flat action. 7.5 runner. Body load, tips back shoulder to trigger swing, line drive swing plane, transfers weight through, consistent solid contact, uses middle of field well with gap to gap approach, 87 mph exit velocity. Sits back to field, sound glove, moves with rhythm, well above avg. arm at first base, 86 mph arm strength across infield.
