PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
KRESSER: Upper Iowa, Iowa Weslyan, Ellsworth CC, DMACC, NIACC, Central, Coe, Northern State, Morningside, Benedictine, Wartburg.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
KRESSER: Visited Upper Iowa, Iowa Weslyan, Wartburg and DMACC and plan to visit more in the upcoming weeks.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
KRESSER: Good environment, Good academics, Good fit with the baseball team.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
KRESSER: Leading the team in several categories. Batting average of .457, Hits with 21, fielding percentage of .963, stolen bases with 13. Getting 1st team All District Shortstop and 3rd team All State Shortstop. Also hitting 2 homeruns in a weekend with the QC Sticks this fall.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
KRESSER: Continue to grow as a student and athlete and hopefully continue that in college. Make it to State in baseball.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
KRESSER: Football and Basketball.
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
KRESSER: Haven't taken the ACT cause of Covid and GPA is 3.56.
Scouting Report
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 6-0, 150-pounds.
Defense: RH INF - 80 mph. Solid actions in field, longer arm action, moves well across infield.
Hit: RHH. Square stance, line drive swing plane, finds barrel consistently, still head through contact with quality approach.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.00 runner in the 60.
6-foot, 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 4.62 home to first time. Body load with leg kick trigger, shows good extension through contact, some length with arm bar, line drive pop in bat to gaps, 87 mph exit velocity. Athletic with actions in field, shows rhythm and tempo to field, tends to field deep into and under body occasionally, loose clean arm action with accuracy and carry to bag, 79 mph arm across infield.
5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 7.77 runner. Open stance, leg kick trigger, has body control, line drive swing plane, whippy bat plane, good extension through contact, 83 mph exit velocity. Athletic hands and feet in field, easier actions, fields underneath body occasionally, moves with fluidity and has solid carry and accuracy to bag, 78 mph arm across infield.
3/4/18- 5-foot-9, 125-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 4.7 home-to-first time. Athletic in box, short to contact, pull approach, hard ground ball contact, tends to spin off occasionally, 78 mph exit velocity. Plays low to ground, solid actions for age, sure hands, clean arm action, accurate to bag, 71 mph arm across infield. Follow in 2021 class.
