5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 4.40 home to first time. Square stance with easy rhythm, line drive approach, occasionally out front at contact, shows ability to drive ball to pull gap, 90 mph exit velocity. Athletic in field with easy actions, works through ball, covers ground well, online throws with accuracy to target, 81 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; one of top arms at event, athletic on mound, clean arm action with easy effort. Fastball was 82-84 mph with above avg. life through zone. Small late break on cutter type breaking ball. Solid action on knuckleball for strikes.
8.11.18- Nebraska Underclass
5-foot-10, 160 pound two way player ran a 7.15 60 yard sprint. Square stance, short stride trigger, compact linear barrel path, hand comes off early on follow through. Posted an 84 mph exit velocity off a tee. Controlled actions in the outfield, plays the ball outfront, clean transfers, extended loose arm action. Topped out at 80 mph from the outfield. On the mound topped out at 83 mph from a low ¾ arm action. Long and loose clean arm action. Some run action on fastball. Slide shaped on 62-64 mph breaking ball, gradual depth. Change up has similar run action to fastball, most landed to arm side. High follow on the mound for the 2021 class on the mound.
