The PBR IA Top Prospect Games event took place on Sunday, August 8, 2021. The event was held at Robert S. Plaster Sports Complex in Cedar Rapids, IA- Home of Mt. Mercy University. The event featured prospects from the 2022 grad class; and included many breakout performances from the players in attendance. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches. Thank you to the players, parents, my staff; along with the staff of Mt. Mercy Baseball for such a great event.

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the PBR IA Top Prospect Games. 

As we drill down into the statistics:

+ 40 players ran sub-7.2 60's.
+ 41 players recorded 85+ mph exit velocities
+ 24 players recorded 78+ mph infield throws
+ 11 players recorded 78+ mph outfield throws
+ 13 catchers recorded 70+ mph throws to second base
+ 7 catchers recorded sub-2.1 pop times
+ 30 pitchers were 80+ mph on the mound

Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-3, 185-pounds. Long, projectable frame.
Defense: OF - 84 mph. Short, choppy footwork with clean glove and average actions. Longer release at times. Accurate throws with solid carry.
Hit: Tall narrow stance, quiet actions. Quick hands through the zone with a rotational plane. Hard line-drives to mid/pull side.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. Shows bat speed.
Run: 6.72 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Athletic rocker-step delivery, quick tempo, low effort in release. Lands closed, delivery across his body.
Arm Action: Long arm action, OT slot, stab down after hands break. Shows arm speed.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Downward plane through the zone. Strikes, straight action.
CB: 70-72 mph. 12/6 break, sharp at times. FB arm speed.
CH: 73-76 mph. Solid fade action w/ some tumble.
