September 11, 2019
PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
TSCHERTER: I chose Kirkwood because a dream of mine is playing in a College World Series and I believe I will get the best opportunity to move on to a big D1 school and compete for a CWS one day.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
TSCHERTER: I was considering Iowa, SDSU, Upper Iowa, and SEMO.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
TSCHERTER: The coaching staff first saw me pitch in a high school game at Riverfront Stadium. My relationship got built by keeping in touch about my performance after each game or after each week.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
TSCHERTER: I am relieved the process is over. It can get stressful at times and the worst part is always wondering who is watching during a game. Now that it is over I can just play ball!
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
TSCHERTER: The deciding factor was the coaching staff. Coach Rima was so confident he could help me get to a school that could play in a CWS.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
TSCHERTER: My parents have helped me the most. They are always supportive of me and pushing me to be my best.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
TSCHERTER: My expectation of the process was it would go by quick and be somewhat easy. Once the process started time seemed to slow down a little. It turned out to be a little difficult and got stressful at times. The biggest part was being honest to other coaches.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
TSCHERTER: The plan is to go in as a two-way player and develop as much as possible.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
TSCHERTER: My most memorable moment was hitting three home runs in one game.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
TSCHERTER: Jarred Kelenic
