PBR IA COMMITMENT SPOTLIGHT

PBR: Why did you choose Northern State?
SEDIVEC: Felt like a perfect fit, they had the academics I was looking for and the coaches provided the type of culture I felt I could do well in.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
SEDIVEC: Minnesota State, SW Minnesota State, and SDSU.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
SEDIVEC: They found me on Field Level and they reached out to me through my HIgh School coach. They did say the videos on PBR were very helpful during the dead period of recruiting.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
SEDIVEC: Absolutely, we didn't expect to commit as early as we did, but after the school visit I knew that's where I wanted to go.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
SEDIVEC: The coaches seemed very genuine and truly cared about all aspects of my future development.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
SEDIVEC: Definitely my parents, they have been a huge support to me. I realize all the training and tournaments cost a lot of money, and I've always felt very fortunate for the opportunity.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
SEDIVEC: Hasn't seemed too difficult for me, but I know my parents worked pretty hard to help coordinate visits.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
SEDIVEC: They really brought me in to play outfield and generate offense, but when I arrive for freshman Fall Ball they plan to work me out as a pitcher as well to see if there is an option for two-way player.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
SEDIVEC: Winning 2020 substate championship and dog piling with all my brothers.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
SEDIVEC: I've had to face one of my teammates before, Logan Smith, and he is a pretty special player.
