By Drew Locascio

The third annual All-State Games took place on Tuesday, June 30, at The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, Wis. The invite-only event brought together over 90 of the top uncommitted 2022s in Illinois and Wisconsin. A number of incoming juniors emerged as high-follows at the event.

Today, we’re going to begin breaking the event from a statistical perspective, utilizing the measured data we gathered. We’ll share the leader-boards from each of the statistical categories, highlighting the top performers at the All-State Games, all of whom remain uncommitted.

TOP 60-YARD DASH

Despite running on what seemed to be a slower track than usual, OF Myles Supurgeci (Mount Carmel, IL) led the long list of position players with a 6.77 60, laser-timed.

MAX FASTBALL VELOCITY

RHP Tyler Deleskiewicz (Badger, WI) and LHP Shane Curtin (Lyons Township, IL) had the two best performances on the mound and also led the way when it comes to fastball velocity. Deleskiewicz, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound, projectable right-hander struck out the side in dominating fashion, touching 90 mph multiple times and showing feel for a put-away curveball. Curtin sat mostly 85-86 mph, touching 87, threw a high-volume of strikes and showed off a swing-and-miss changeup.

MAX EXIT VELOCITY

24 players recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph or harder with the top number, 98 mph, coming from 1B/C Victor Izquierdo (Lockport, IL).

MAX INFIELD VELOCITY

INF Ryan Bibb (Mascoutah) put together one of the strongest workouts of the day, highlighted by his defensive round of infield. Bibb routinely sat 90 mph or harder across the diamond, topping at 94 mph and did so with playable actions and a clean release.

MAX OUTFIELD VELOCITY

OF Jordan Skolmar (Stevenson, IL) continued to show off an impressive combination of tools topping the outfield velocity at 91 mph, running a 6.97 60 and recording a 96 mph exit velocity off a tee.

MAX CATCHER VELOCITY

Brandon Vlcko (Stevens Point, WI) stood in a class of his own when it came to arm strength out of the crouch, topping at 84 mph.

TOP POP TIMES

C/RHP Tony Pluta (St. Viator, IL) made a statement with his arm all day long, posting consistent sub 2.0 pop times from the crouch, then hopping on the mound where he sat 83-85 mph, touching 86 and flashed one of the best breaking balls of the day.
