The Prep Baseball Report Iowa's Underclass Prospect Games took place on August 4th, 2015 at Duane Banks Field on the campus of the University of Iowa. The showcase featured prospects from the 2017 and 2018 class who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff, college coaches, and professional scouts.

Today we take a look at the outfielders that were at the event. When we create this list we evaluate the overall package of abilities along with future projection at the college level.

Top outfield Prospects

1. Levi Usher, OF, Cedar Rapids Prairie, 2018
6-foot, 165-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Athletic build. 6.85 runner. Open stance. Strides across. Good hands in swing. Ability to drive ball to oppo gap. Some lift in swing. Will improve more with better use of lower half in swing. 82 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in outfield. 2 hand fielder effects momentum and balance on throws. Very good arm. Above avg. carry with plus accuracy to target. Clean arm action producing 88 mph throws. High Follow in 2018 class.

2. Robbie McCargar, OF, Dowling Catholic, 2017
6-foot, 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Physical build. 7.4 runner at this event. Slight uphill setup in box. Long stride with balance. Above avg. bat speed with lift in swing. Shows power to pull side of field. 93 mph exit velocity off tee. Aggressive routes to ball. Works to exchange/release quickly. Does good job of fielding low to ground. Avg. arm action and carry. Solid accuracy. 76 mph arm strength. High follow with offensive ability.

3. Anthony Alepra, OF/RHP, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, 2017
6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.69 runner. Square stance. Leg kick trigger to swing. Flat bat plane through zone. Mid-away approach with solid contact. 84 mph exit velocity. Solid across the board in the outfield feet and glove. Throws are accurate to target with 88 mph arm strength.

4. Joshua Stivers, OF, Pleasant Valley, 2017
6-foot-1, 210-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.25 runner. Hands out over plate in set-up. Aggressive swinger. Some length to contact. Uses whole field. Pulls off occasionally but makes solid-hard contact. 91 mph exit velocity off tee. Avg. actions in outfield. Makes routine plays. Fields with 2 hands effecting balance and momentum. 79 mph arm strength with solid accuracy to target.

5. Justus Burke, OF, Davenport Assumption, 2017
5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Strong athletic build. 6.78 runner. Solid set-up in box. Leg kick trigger to stride. Off-time at this event. Shows strength in swing with mid/pull approach. 88 mph exit velocity. Good feet and hands in outfield. Appropriate routes. Average arm action from ¾ slot. Arm is fast out front with accuracy to target. 80 mph arm strength from outfield.

6. Peyton Scott, OF, Mason City Newman, 2017
5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.22 runner. Open-narrow stance. Strides to square. Low hand set. Uses hands well in swing. Mid/pull approach. 81 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in outfield with appropriate routes to ball and good glove. Clean exchanges and release. Clean arm action. Throws are online and accurate to target. 82 mph arm strength.

Lean body. Athletic actions in OF. Long arm action. Aggressive routes to ball. Avg./ok accuracy to target. 81 mph arm strength.

Drew Boffeli, LHP/OF, North Scott, 2017
6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.44 runner. Athletic build. Crouched stance. Square feet with inline stride. Pull approach with solid contact. Uphill/lift swing plane with 81 mph exit velocity off tee. Good feet and glove in outfield. Moves well. Stabbing short arm action. Elevated throws to plate. 74 mph arm strength.

Brady Donohue, RHP/OF, Marion, 2017
6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Lean build. 7.41 runner. Crouched stance. Strides slightly across body locking hips occasionally. Flat swing plane through zone. Uses whole field. 77 mph exit velocity. Solid routes and actions to ball. Wants to field with 2 hands occasionally. Minimal momentum on throws with legs. Solid accuracy to target at 77 mph.

Jake Huff, OF, Pekin, 2017
6-foot-3, 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. 7.1 runner. Wide spread stance. Double tap stride to swing. Heavy collapse at contact. Mid/away approach. Underneath at contact.
