Prep Baseball Report Iowa
PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: Why did you choose Iowa Central CC?
BLUNT: I really liked the coaching staff and the plan they have set up for me, I feel like with that plan I can continue to develop and will be better prepared for a four year university.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
BLUNT: Iowa Western, Southeastern, and Davidson.
PBR: Where did they first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
BLUNT: They first saw me pitch at the PBR IA Top Prospect Games. After the event they called me and I took a visit. From there my relationship with the coaches strengthened.
PBR: What role do you expect to play your first year on campus?
BLUNT: I expect to earn my spot in the starting rotation as a freshman and contribute to the team in any way that I can.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
BLUNT: My youth travel ball coaches, Kevin Ward and Ron Howard, have coached me since I was nine years old and helped teach me the game of baseball. Along with my pitching coach Doug Thompson, they all really helped get me to the point I am at now.
PBR: What have you worked on/improved since last year?
BLUNT: I have worked on developing my changeup along with putting on weight and getting stronger.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have played against or with?
BLUNT: I have been very fortunate to play with a lot of very talented baseball players, so I can't name just one.
PBR: What are your thoughts on the recruiting process? Any advice for other players who have the desire to play college baseball.
BLUNT: Enjoy the recruiting process, don't rush into a decision, take your time and make sure the school is right for you. As for advice I would say take as many visits as you can. Visits allow you to get a feel for the school and get to know the coaches better.
