2024 Prep Baseball Iowa Diamond Notes: Week 6

Brent Yonkovic / West Delaware, IA / 2025

Brent went 9-for-17 with 7 runs scored, 4 home runs, 3 doubles, 2 walks, and 9 RBIs in a week. West Delaware went 4-1 with wins over 2 ranked teams. He also went 2 1/3 scoreless innings with 2 saves on the week.  

Yonkovic is tied for 20th in the state with 5 home runs. 

Dylan Mangler RHP / 1B / Maquoketa, IA / 2024

5 innings, 13 k's, 1 hit shutout and went 2-for-3 with single, double, and 4 RBIs at the plate.

Grant Rychnovsky OF / RHP / ADM, IA / 2024

Grant pitched a complete game shut out vs Ballard on Thursday. He gave up 1 hit in the game. He finished the game with 81 total pitches.

Tucker Ladeburg / RHP / Wapsie Valley , IA / 2024

. 625 b.avg., 10 hits, 2 2Bs, 1 HR, 8 RBIs, Wapsie Valley went 5-0 for the week. 

Chase Lander C / RHP / West Monona, IA / 2025

Chase Lander threw a perfect game during West Monona's 19-0 win over Siouxland Christian/Whiting. In the 12 batters Chase saw, he had 8K's, 3 groundouts, and 1 pop-up. Also went 3-4 at the plate with a single, double, and triple with 4 RBIs. 

Landon Bendgen / Woodbine, IA / 2024

Monday night against South Central Calhoun went 1-1, 3 runs, 3 BB, 1HBP, 2-2 stolen bases. Wednesday night against CAM went 3-3, 1 run, 2 RBI’s, 2-2 stolen bases. Also, pitched a complete game shutout only allowing one hit, 1 BB, 5 k’s. Played five games last week and went 6-11 on the week. His batting stats for the week: Avg.=.545, Runs Scored 7, RBI’s 3, BB= 3, K= 0, Stolen bases 4-4.
