Cam Black-Araujo
Hawaii Operations

On Sunday, May 25th, the Prep Baseball Hawaii staff hosted a Scout Day ahead of the BIWBA Memorial Day Tournament which took place throughout Hilo, Hawaii and featured 14U, 16U and 18U divisions. The Scout Day featured over 60 positional prospects from the 2024 - 2029 classes who were participating in the tournament and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look and analysis of the players ahead of the tournament.

Earlier this week we began our post-event coverage with our Statistical Analysis article. Today, we conclude our post-event coverage within this Positional Data Dive article as we take a look at the the top TrackMan, Blast Motion and Swift Performance data collected at the event.

Body Rotation: A swing that has the appropriate relative contributions of body and bat rotations is an efficient and Powerful swing that maintains proper sequencing. An efficient baseball swing is one in which the body creates the initial movements, which is then transferred to the arms and out to the bat, thereby maximizing Bat Speed through this proximal-to-distal kinematic sequencing movement pattern.
