West Georgia Campus Tour: Quick Hits
October 30, 2023
On Oct. 28, PBR Georgia traveled to West Georgia University for the first stop on the fall campus tour series. With this being the first-ever fall showcase in the area, it introduced our staff to new need-to-know players in the state that we’d not yet seen before, as well as provided us with updated looks at players who’ve earned our attention in the past.
Today, we’ll highlight several standouts and performances from Saturday’s showcase in Carrollton. You’ll see more content roll out throughout the week, such as our traditional stats story as well as leaderboards taken from TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift data, as our partners’ state-of-the-art technologies helped our staff identify even more players to know headed into the offseason and beyond.
For now, let’s take a look at the standouts from Saturday’s event at West Gerogia University. Each of the prospects below are uncommitted unless stated otherwise.

Quick Hits
+ Evan Moody, OF/RHP, 2026, Carrollton
6-foot-0 190-pounds. We last saw Moody in a showcase setting in May, and had the chance to see him numerous times throughout the summer in game. He has improved all metrics, and has added obvious size and strength. He produced some of the most consistent contact during his BP round, staying in the middle of the field barreling balls at 95 EV to dead center with multiple balls that landed beyond the 350 ft mark per Trackman. After putting up an 88mph OF velo he hopped on the mound and was 86 with a clean and efficient delivery. Moody is an exciting two-way athlete that will be one to see this spring at Carrollton.

with a max distance of 350ft. On the mound he was low 80’s with a consistent delivery and deceptive arm a lot that sneaks up on hitters.

+ Robert Parker, SS, 2024, LaGrange
5-foot-11 165-pounds. Parker is a high level 2024 uncommitted prospect that will make a team better at the next level. He looks the part with an athletic frame, and mature actions. He produced consistent line drive contact during BP with a wide base and simple approach. The actions at shortstop are smooth and effortless. Parker will be a big late add for a school that decides to pick him up.

On the mound he was up to 85, showing strong command in the zone with the fastball. The curveball was high spin at 2200+ with sharp, late actions. He posted both the top OF and INF velo at 89 and 87.
