Team Georgia 16u: Game 1 Quick Hits
July 26, 2024
The Georgia 16u team got off to a hot start to go 1-0 in in the first of 3 games at the 2024 Future games. Georgia had both strong pitching and hitting performances to take an 8-7 win over Tennessee on Thursday.
Malachi Washington, OF/SS, Parkview HS, 2026
Uncommitted. One of the top players in the GA ‘26 class continued to show why he is one of the top players in the state. He got the scoring started early for Team Georgia with an RBI single into left field. Does a very good job of loading into his backside and then uses his really quick hands to generate a lot of bat speed and drive his hands through the zone. Had a very good spring as a sophomore for Parkview and carried that into the summer and looks to continue his hot hitting into the fall and next spring.
Jack Richerson, 3B, RHP, Marist HS, 2026
Uncommitted. Had a very solid day at the plate as he went 1-2 with two RBI’s. His one hit on the day was a smoked single(103EV) into the left center field gap that drove in two runs. Very tall and athletic frame at 6’4” 200 pounds with plenty of room to fill out and get stronger which will allow him to add even more bat speed and pop to his swing. Has a quiet stance with twitchy hands with good hand separation which allows him to have quick hands through the zone and produce good bat speed.
Carson Adomnik, RHP, South Paulding HS, 2026
Uncommitted. Got the start in the first game for Team Georgia and came out of the gate firing. Pounded the zone with all three of his pitches and was able to generate swing and miss especially with his fastball early. His fastball was 88-91 that induced 21 inches of inverted vertical break, a slider that sat 76-77, and a changeup that was 78 that killed spin at 1200-1400 RPMs. He worked a quick two innings allowing no hits and no runs while striking out three and walked one batter.
Ethan England, SS/3B, Cherokee Bluff HS, 2026
Uncommitted. Not only did he have a solid day at the plate but he showed off in the field as well. At the plate he went 1-3 with a single into center field and a run scored. He has a quiet and simple approach at the plate and gets good hand separation and drives his hands through the zone. And then in the field he made quite a few impressive plays at shortstop including a very nice play in the hole to end the game. Has very smooth actions in the field and does a good job getting to the ball quickly with a strong arm to make throws anywhere in the infield.
Trevor Condon, OF/2B, Etowah HS, 2026
Uncommitted. After putting together a loud round of BP yesterday, launching multiple pull-side bombs, the smooth swinging lefty carried it over into the first game of Future Games for Team Georgia. Collecting a hit up the middle at an exit velocity of 93 MPH. Showcasing a smooth LH stroke with a natural ability to sync up coupled with present bat-speed and an obvious feel for the barrel. The number nine player in our 2026 rankings continues to impress on every stage.
Caden Dawson, OF, Blessed Trinity HS, 2027
Uncommitted. The athletic 6-foot-2, 195-pound OF continues to show why he’s the number 1 player in the 2027 class. Catching a loud barrel with a smooth LH swing with fluid hands through the zone and excellent leverage throughout. Highlighting an innate feel for the barrel with advanced bat-speed to match.
Reiston Durham, SS/2B, Dacula HS, 2026
Uncommitted. The 2x Future Games participant caught a barrel in the late stages of the round 1 game of Future Games. Displaying a well-connected swing with effortless bat speed. Creating leverage with the athletic 6-foot, 169-pound frame the incoming junior continues to show an advanced feel for the barrel.
