As the summer of 2024 comes to a close, we take a look back over the course of the summer and the top uncommitted performers for the 2025 class from the peach state. Everything from defensive standouts to top notch performances on the mound, and incredible days at the dish; phenomenal players continued to show up and show out. The talent from this upcoming senior class is highly regarded and was well represented at all Prep Baseball events throughout the summer. The following list of players will be on our watchlist for commitments as the school year progresses.

State Games of Georgia: (5/25-5/28)

Hayden Garcia, C, Norcross, 2025
Uncommitted. Garcia is a defensive weapon at catcher for the Atlanta Outlaws. His great receiving skills and ability to control a game are a coach’s and pitcher’s dream. He also threw out 3 runners in the first game of the week at the State Games, showing some quick feet and strong arm to go along with his solid blocking skills. Garcia is definitely a player to watch as his bat continues to develop, as the floor for a guy with his defensive ability is high.

Cannon Maige, SS, Cairo, 2025
Uncommitted. Maige had a very strong week at the plate for the Atlanta Outlaws, and really shined in one of the pool play games, going 3-4 with an opposite field home run and 2 ground rule doubles. He also flashed the leather a couple times, holding down the middle infield for a solid Outlaws team. Maige had several other hits sprinkled throughout the week, and seems that he will be a prominent middle of the order bat for the remainder of the summer.

Preston Bretti, C, Kell, 2025
Uncommitted. Bretti is a sweet swinging left handed catcher with some big power potential. Strong, big frame at 5-foot-11, 200-pound frame and gets a lot of pop from a very strong lower half. Gets into his back hip well in his swings, which brings even more power and higher exit velocities. Bretti went deep pretty effortlessly in pool play, displaying this power with a left handed arm on the mound. Should be interesting to see how he progresses this summer.

Seth Pettett, C, Sequoyah, 2025
Uncommitted. Pettett is a pitcher's dream behind the dish with his great presence. He is a vocal leader who sets the tone for his team. At 6-foot-2, 180-pound he has a great frame to work with but will only continue to develop. On the catching side, Pettett is a great receiver as well as quick behind the plate in blocking and throwing guys out. Recently, Pettett’s velo from behind the dish was 75 mph, with a pop time that ranged from 1.95-2.08. These numbers do not show why he is a true backstop who takes pride in his defense. On the hitting side, Pettett possesses great tools as well. His simple approach allows him to hit about anything, and that showed this weekend. He hits in all counts, from two strikes to none, and goes gap to gap as well.

Korbin Dietrich, 1B, Central, 2025
Uncommitted. Dietrich is one of the most physical players in the state at a 6-foot-6, 220-pound frame. That sounds like a linebacker's build. Dietrich has a great approach at the plate, he keeps his feet close together, allowing his timing to be on point. He has a little bit of a leg kick that helps him generate some pop as well. The juice is definitely there, and he showed it off. That is not all he will do, which shows how disciplined he is. Dietrich will see a pitch deep and go backside as well, showing how developed he is as a hitter. With all that being said, Dietrich also gets it done in the classroom with a 4.1 GPA.

Alex Espinoza, IF, Grayson, 2025
Uncommitted. Fresh off a state title appearance. Espinoza was a key producer on both sides for a scrappy Grayson squad that made a hard-fought run at the 7A state title. Espinoza stayed hot on the first weekend of the summer. Collecting 3 knocks on Tuesday of the State Games. Espinoza shows an advanced approach at the plate with a keen eye. In sync and rhythm describe the swing as he is on time with everything. Espinoza matches plane at an exemplary rate and works up the middle of the field. An athletic defender that can play anywhere on the diamond at an elevated level, also had a web gem on Tuesday. The uncommitted junior looks to continue his torrid pace from the spring and the first weekend of the summer.

Cooper Lewis, LHP, Chamblee Charter, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. Strong lower half, long legs. Loud look on the mound today. Opened up comfortably sitting 90-92, before reaching back to grab a 94 to strike out the side and end the inning. Fastball showed good life up in the zone and overpowered opposing hitters. Struggled to land secondary offerings in the first but settled in after coming out for the second. Curveball showed good break with a slurve-shape at 75-76. Tight spin. Splitter was intriguing, killing spin to sub 900rpm. Provided a good tunnel off of the fastball, and showed plus flashes. Big time projection and a live arm, will be a big time get in the 2025 class as he keeps maturing into his body and finds a more repeatable motion. Command did get erratic at times.

Austin Treadwell, RHP, Wheeler, 2025
Uncommitted 5-foot-11, 175-pounds. First outing back since TJ and did not disappoint. Came out sitting 87-90 hit 91 in the first. Fastball had good carry with really high spin getting up to 2530 and slider tunneled well also spinning it really good getting up to 2935 averaging 2825. Threw 2 innings, fastball settled in at 86-88 but still has good life that had whiffs. Finished the outing throwing 43 pitches. I expect this to go up as the season goes on.

Tucker Hale, RHP, Houston County, 2025
Uncommitted. Works from the stretch. Flirted with a no-hitter for 3 innings before his outing ending in the 4th. Had 6K’s // 1 BB // 3.0 IP. Hale had two consistent pitches that he relied on for the outing, FB (85-83) cut horizontally from the pitcher's glove side that came in on RHH. SL (74-73) late bite, good vertical movement away from RHH. Final inning stateline: 12 pitches, 3K’s, the last 9 pitches were all FB, all of which were whiffs.

KJ Hart, RHP, River Ridge, 2025
Uncommitted 6-foot-6, 220-pound. Large, strong and durable frame. Smooth, simple actions on the mound, throws with minimal effort. Showed off the explosive arsenal out of the bullpen, with two different fastballs and two different sliders. Four-seam fastball sat 90-92, topped 93 with big time carry, creating solid tilt from the 6’7” release height. Two-seam sat 90-91 with 19 inches of ride. Hart threw the gyro slider at 82-85, with a 2 vertical, 0 horizontal movement profile. Tight spin. The sweeping slider sat 80-81, creating 15 inches of sweep. Super late break, caught some ugly swings on it. Command was solid through 2IP, but struggled a bit in the 3rd. Managed to get through 3 clean innings, and really impressed in the process.

Brayden Antonelli, RHP, River Ridge, 2025
Uncommitted 6-foot-2, 190-pounds. Really impressed me yesterday out of the pen. Came out and dominated with the curveball and commanded it at any count. Fastball tunneled well with the curveball jamming hitters and producing weak contact. FB was living 86-88 and CB was 72-74. Frame projects well and could be a riser this summer.

Showdown at Lakepoint: (5/31-6/03)

Cameron Cochran, 1B/OF, Cartersville, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-0, 225-pounds; Strong frame. Had a good showing this weekend at the plate. Starts in a fairly neutral position. Does a good job of getting into his strong lower half in the load. It’s a simple and small leg lift as the timing mechanism. Cochran has a whippy barrel which plays well with the strength he has at present. There is certainly a good bit of power projection present here. Needs to cut down on the chase, as he swung at a decent number of pitches out of the zone, but that should come in time.

Steven Tavares, 1B, Jefferson, 2025
Uncommitted. Tavares showed out with the bat on Sunday afternoon. He started his day with a deep sac fly to CF that was clocked in at 97 exit velocity. He then ambushed a first pitch breaking ball in his next AB for a 2B down the left field line that was tracked at 99 exit velocity. Tavares produced consistent high exit velocities like this all weekend, and he should continue to do so with his 6’2” 210 lb frame. Even with his size, Tavares has the ability to stay connected and keep his head still for a controlled, but violent swing.

Mills Lothridge, OF/RHP, North Hall, 2025
Uncommitted. Lothridge showed out on the mound and at the plate for AquaSox 17u Blue this weekend. Worked his FB consistently in the low 80’s, working it up to 83. He pounded the zone and challenged hitters with both pitches, showing his ability to get quick outs and work efficiently. He also was solid at the plate where he consistently hit the ball hard, along with flashing some athleticism on defense. Lothridge does not lack in any department on the field, all around good player.

Jack Reynolds, OF/LHP, Allatoona, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Very smooth lefty swing that generates a lot of pull side pop. Does a great job getting the bat head to the ball and keeping his hands through the zone. Very whippy bat and stays consistent in his approach.

Samuel Reardon, 3B, North Gwinnett, 2025
Uncommitted. Reardon really impressed at the plate this weekend. The game I watched Reardon went 2-for-3 with a backside double, and a clutch homerun. Good frame that will fill out nicely. Reardon is a name we will get to watch a ton this summer and coming spring. Excited to see what happens with him in the future.

Neil Stam, RHP, Creekview, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1 160-pound frame with some strength present, but certainly some room to add. Simple, quiet, and repeatable delivery with a live arm. Stam had a solid start this weekend. He threw the fastball in the 86-88 range, topping at 89.4. High spin at ~2300rpm, with good ride and run to it. Jumped on hitters, causing some uncomfortable swings. He threw the slider anywhere from 70-75, showing good feel to manipulate shape depending on the count and situation. Solid profile at present with some projection left.

Will Schmidt, RHP, River Ridge, 2025
Uncommitted. Saturday morning spotlight for the rising senior, Schmidt had all three pitches working and was dealing. Had complete command of all three pitches, hit his spots, and gave up 2 hits through the first 5 innings of work. FB (T83, 81-79) ASR had good command, and worked well with 4sm for whiffs and 2sm caught batters behind and created pop-outs in the infield. Out of the 3 hits he gave up, only one was over 67 mph exit velocity. SL(69-68) had a good feel for spin and cut away from RHH. CH(76-74) had an extremely good run low and into RHH, good control, and deceptiveness to keep hitters at bay. Quality combinations kept hitters lunging, and off-balance. Final stat line: 6.0 IP / 3 Hits / 1 BB / 1 ER / 4K’s on 91 pitches.

National Program Invite (NPI): (6/06-6/10)

Samford Halcomb, OF, North Gwinnett, 2025
Uncommitted. Quite swing from the left-side, and continues to showcase the hit tool. Thursday morning he was able to get around early on a mid-80’s FB and drove a laser into the corner in RF that one-hopped the wall. Had solid line-drives in games on Sunday and Monday also. Aggressive approach. Coming off an excellent spring with North Gwinnett HS, and is continuing to impress so far this summer. Has the ability to leg out infield singles, has serious speed. Physical build, and he’s a tough out. Two-sport athlete, ATH in football. Looking forward to watching him as he gets closer to committing.

Eli Gerdes, LHP, Alpharetta, 2025
Uncommitted. At 6-foot-3, 185-pounds. Has a solid frame that is very projectable. After a little rough start Gerdes was mowing hitters down all day. The pitch that everyone struggled with all day was the changeup that tunneled very well off the fastball that had late fade at 75-77 (RPMs 1100-1300s). The fastball was very impressive that continues to rise since the spring (83-85 T87 RPMs 2100-2200s) and worked hitters in with it creating lots of weak contact. To top off his strong arsenal the curveball was a true 12/6 that was very sharp with late break. Really impressive showing again from Gerdes and should not be uncommitted to much longer.

Cameron Novak, RHP, Blessed Trinity, 2025
Uncommitted. Sturdy 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame. Short, clean arm action that was consistently times up throughout his outing. Worked mostly 85-87 with the fastball, topping out at 88. Got plenty of carry on the pitch, causing batters to miss underneath of the barrel. The star of the show, however, was Novak’s curveball, which he threw in the 76-78 range with sharp 12/6 downward action. Novak’s feel for spin and pitchability make him a solid prospect in the 2025 class.

Prep Baseball Classic: (6/14-6/17)

Cade Middleton, RHP, Pepperell, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1,165-pound frame. Lean, athletic build with room still to fill out. Was very impressive in his outing in the 17u semifinals game. He throws from a low ¾, almost sidearm slot with a clean arm action. Middleton worked the fastball mostly 85-87, topping out at 88 with tons of armside run from the lower slot. Off of the fastball, he worked a tight slider at 73-75, which flashed sharp horizontal break to the gloveside. He also mixed in a quality, firm changeup at 80-82 with depth that kept hitters off balance. Attacked the zone and competed with quality stuff throughout his outing.

Shivan Patel, RHP/2B, Mary Persons, 2025
Uncommitted. A standout on Saturday of the Prep Baseball Classic. Showing dominance on the mound. Flashing some wicked stuff, working from the sub arm angle and from over the top. Keeping hitters off-balance using a deceptive arm angle and messing with hitters timing when throwing from over the top as well. Working with a dynamic four-pitch mix. Sitting at 76-78 on the SNK/FB, with arm-side run and late downward bite on the sinker. Also working in a mid 60’s CB/SL, where the curveball falls off the table. The RHP not only made quick work of the batters he faced in the short relief appearance but picked up a hit in the bottom half of the inning. Showing a good feel for the barrel through the zone. The right-handed pitcher is a must-see when on the mound and will be an intriguing name to watch over the summer.

Robert Yagyu, 3B, Rockmart, 2025
Uncommitted. Good frame at 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame with power. Really quick hands that allows him to generate a lot of power and be able to get his bat through the zone quickly. Had a solid weekend at the plate collecting hits throughout the weekend and getting timely hits to drive in runners.

Gavin Davis, RHP, Fannin County, 2025
Uncommitted, Had a great outing on the mound on Saturday. Had a complete game with only giving up 1H and 1R. Had great confidence on the mound all game and attacked the box very well. FB(81-84)85, BB(77-78)79, CB(66-71) showed good presents on the mound and will continue to grow in the future.

Ean Marria, 3B, Sequoyah, 2025
Uncommitted. Marria is one of the more exciting uncommitted guys in Georgia this summer. He continued to show his serious power as he slugged at a high level all weekend. In one game, he laced a 93.8 EV double that easily burnt the left fielder and got to the fence quickly. He then followed that up with a game where he hit a double down the LF line, and later a loud home run to the pull side as well. The power is very present and noticeable in Marria’s bat, and he should continue to improve as the summer goes along.

Jaiden Spencer, OF, North Atlanta, 2025
Uncommitted. Creates great separation with a high leg kick that allows him to generate a ton of power and bat speed. He stays connected through his load and keeps a strong front side. He is very consistent in his approach, likes to use all parts of the field. Also creates havoc on the base paths, sub-7 second runner.

Seth Geter, MIF, Maynard Jackson, 2025
Uncommitted. Solid frame at 5’10 165 with lots of power from the right side. Smooth swing that generates a lot of power from his strong lower half. He does a great job getting his hands to the ball and keeping the barrel through the zone for a long time. He is consistently able to elevate the ball and drive it to the outfield.

16u National Championship: (6/20-6/26)

Alex Espinoza, IF, Grayson, 2025
Uncommitted. Exciting morning at the plate on Friday with two solid knocks, one up the middle to lead off the game and the other deep to left-center field for a hustle triple. Smooth infielder, has the ability to play at any position, shines at SS and 3B. Bouncy, light on his feet, soft-hands with present arm strength makes for a quality MIF. Can hit anywhere in the lineup, has accuracy and a present feel for the barrel. Consistently finds a way to get on base. Battles well with two-strikes and makes good adjustments to the off-speed. Continues to make good impressions, high follow for the summer.

Preston Dean, C, Lassiter, 2025
Uncommitted. Intriguing glance on Sunday afternoon, had talent in the field and at the plate. Has good speed, legged out an infield single to SS and then rifled a ball up the middle into center-field. Simple, short swing that produces hard contact. Made a good adjustment with two-strikes, got wider, and almost had zero load, as he dropped the barrel on the ball. A wall behind the dish with fluid movements throughout his stance. With runners on he never dropped to a knee, always stayed in a secondary position, ready to attack. Not afraid to pop-up and let it fly when runners get too far off.

Southeast Select: (7/11-7/16)

Jihad Guy, OF, Lakeside, 2025
Uncommitted. Quick work on Friday (7/12) morning as he had an impressive day at the plate. Aggressive approaches that led to quick barrels. Went 2-for-2 with an opposite field triple into the right-field corner, and a pull-side single into left-field through the 5-6 hole. Twitchy hands, wide stance with a subtle leg-kick load and upper body torque that initiates his swing. Stays strong and physical in his lower-half, and rears his hands back to generate tension and power towards the ball. High follow as he looks to finish off the summer on a high note.

Jack Hamilton, 3B, Milton, 2025
Uncommitted. Strong day at the plate going 2-for-3 (7/13) with a pair of clutch line drives that both drove in runs. Quality approach from the left side, strong and physical lower half that generates loads of power and pop in the barrel. Stays low and wide, toe-tap load that creates anticipation for the pitch while also staying back and patient. Disciplined eye and a cut throat swing that displays an innate feel for the barrel. Creates good leverage throughout. Versatile 6-foot, 190-pound frame.

Brodie Carter, MIF, Creekview, 2025
Uncommitted. Advanced approaches on Saturday afternoon (7/13), displayed an innate feel for the barrel to all-fields with a simple swing. Separation from his hands that generate tension to initiate his load, and gains good momentum throughout to create solid contact. Drove a ball to deep right field that nearly got out of the yard, and then hacked at an early count fastball that fell into shallow left field for an RBI. Coming off an impressive spring for Creekview, and continues to flash the tools at the plate and in the field.

Logan Brown, RHP, Northview, 2025
Uncommitted. On Monday Brown threw 5 no-hit innings with only 58 pitches to help send his team to bracket play. His fastball sat 84-87 and topped at 88 with great movement and late life, breaking ball sat around 75-78 that just fell off the table. He displayed a good feel for all pitches and executed them consistently. Does a great job creating leverage with a long arm path and lets his upper body work well with the arm.

Leonardo Yoshioka , RHP, Rabun, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot-2, 200-pound RHP from Rabun Gap HS had a coming out moment last night at lakepoint. Have had limited relief looks at Yoshioka this summer and has always flashed electric stuff but tonight his pitch was his CB that completely fell off the table and looked FB out of hand and stayed FB until 10 feet then died. Fastball lived in the upper 80’s topping out a 92 and had ride to it but just exploded out of the hand.

Denajh Williams, RHP/OF/IF, Rabun, 2025
Uncommitted. Unreal performance on the mound Saturday evening. Going the distance on 109 pitches and delivering a win for his team in a hard fought pitcher’s duel. Showed the ability to mix well keeping hitter’s off-balance and racked up eight strikeouts over seven innings, with a 4-pitch mix. FB: 84-86 inducing swing and miss. Showed an innate feel for spin as the curveball and slider were shown in the low to mid 70’s causing heavy swing and miss. Mixed in a change-up at 78-79. Williams embodies the term grit and the upside is very real on both sides of the ball for the incoming senior.

Daniel Parker, IF, Hillgrove, 2025
Uncommitted. Parker had a great showing at the plate during this tournament. Has great power behind the ball With an athletic frame at 6’0” 165. Show off that projectile power on Monday with a home run to left field 317 ft 87 EV. Has great speed around the bases with getting an inside the park home run on Sunday. Easy bat speed with a strong lower body to get a lot behind the ball. Should be a great year for the upcoming senior.

17u National Championship: (7/17-7/23)

Carson Vick, C, Hillgrove, 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, physical and powerful 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. Displays a strong lower-half with speed and quickness in the arsenal. Ran out an infield single for a base hit, then recognizes the off-speed and smokes one into deep right field (7/18). Just a tad wider than a shoulder width base. Small leg-kick load that generates a strong back-half swing that maintains power throughout. Good pitch recognition and has an aggressive mentality in the box. A wall behind the dish with fluid movements; quickness and bounce, ready to block and flashed the sub 2.0 second pop-time. Multiple high IQ back-pick plays throughout the weekend.

Aiden Zagryn, IF/OF, Blessed Trinity, 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, powerful 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame with excellent control and balance from the right side. Two line drives cranked deep into left-center for a triple and a double that both almost left the yard with mid to low 90 exit velocities (7/18). Moderately wide stance with hands held high, simple load that gains positive momentum while keeping weight on back-half that generates tons of pop. Advanced feel for the barrel that invites the inside FB, has quick hands and bat speed to do serious damage at the plate. He continues to tear the cover off the ball, and is continuing his tear on the summer as well.

Jackson Freeman, C, Flowery Branch, 2025
Uncommitted. Easy, raw power from the 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame. Aggressive at the plate matches with a dog mentality that continues to impress. Moderately wide stance, stays low and balanced, loose hands coiled up lower/back of stance. Generates leverage and tons of upper body torque that produce consistent hard contact. Smoked two at 101 mph, and 96 mph off the bat (7/19). All around strength with good pitch recognition and an aggressive yet controlled swing. High follow.

Brock Bergey, 1B, Marist, 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, athletic 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame. Incredible bat-to-ball skills with an accurate feel for the barrel. Smoked two balls deep into left-center for standup doubles, both mid-to-low 90’s exit velocity. Shows maturity in his back half with great discipline and pitch recognition. Easy power, and strong wrists allows for consistent hard contact. Very inviting to the inside FB, extends his arms with aggressiveness and matches plane well.

Matthew Evans, SS, Redan, 2025
Uncommitted. Evans was a bright spot in the run rule win for Braves Scout Team on Sunday afternoon, mashing a no doubt, 2 RBI home run at 337 feet. The bat speed and feel for his barrel is very present, and Evans looks very comfortable with every pitch while he is in the box. He also looks more than comfortable at shortstop, using his elite hands and great athleticism to make every play to him look easy. His power, speed, and fielding combination makes him one of the more exciting uncommitted players of the week.

Cohen Rogers, OF, South Forsyth, 2025
Uncommitted. Big fly on Saturday morning that went 352-feet and left the bat at 92 mph. Rogers is a smooth lefty bat that creates great separation and can adjust to breaking balls which allows him to hit to all parts of the field. Consistently likes to make an impact on the basepaths as well 6.94 - 60 yard time.

Mercer Hudson, C/OF, Brookstone Schools, 2025
Uncommitted. The physical RHH at 6-foot, 197-pounds, put together a stellar performance at the plate on Sunday afternoon. Going 2-2 with 4 RBI’s in the run-rule victory. With both hits being at an exit velocity of 90 MPH and 92 MPH. Displaying a short compact swing with strong fast hands through the zone. With an obvious feel for the barrel Hudson showed leverage to all-fields with significant impact in the barrel. Gamer behind the dish as well.

Brayden Seabold, RHP, North Forsyth, 2025
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame that has performed all summer in multiple outings. We’ve really gotten a lot of quality looks this spring and summer at Seabold and each time he produces. He lives in the upper 80’s with a pure 2SM FB that has gotten upwards of 20” of HVB which is truly off the charts. Seabold showed good feel for mixing in a 2500+ spin CB that comes out high then darts away from RHH. Seabold is a premier GA uncommitted RHP that is a pure workhorse.
