SL at 69-71 with -10 IVB; late drop-off. CH sat 72-74 with 13 IVB, with late arm side fade. High release point and loud over the top arm action, more speed and feel for spin as the arm grows, matures and gains confidence. At the plate, exit velo was one of the highest on the day, 95 off the bat, with several lower 90 EV’s. A hard swing that syncs up very nicely, generates good leverage with opposite field pop and accuracy in the barrel. Several balls were hit +300 ft. A strong arm with a sneaky whip in the arm. Longer extremities and gets downhill quickly with longer strides.

Matt Berardinelli, MIF, Loganville, 2026
Uncommitted. 5-foot-9 150-pounds. Berardeinelli has been a player we have been following since the fall, and had a great day on Sunday. The bat speed at the plate really stood out, and posted a solid round with line drives to all parts of the field. The actions are clean and effortless in the field. He ran a 6.98 60-yard dash, and will be one we continue to follow at Loganville this spring.

Parker Hope, C, Allatoona, 2027
5-foot-10 164-pounds. Hope has been a steady performer over the fall season in tournaments. He has a great feel for the barrel, and showcased that with a heavy line drive BP round. He matches plane really well, and drives the pitches where they are thrown. Behind the dish he has smooth and athletic actions and flashed a 2.00 pop time with a pull down of 71mph to 2nd base. Hope should see time as a sophomore in the spring and will be a prospect to keep an eye on the next 3 years as he continues to develop.

Bryce Fontenot, RHP/3B, 2027, Cherokee Bluff
The sophomore put down a stellar performance across the board at USA Scout Day on Sunday. Utilizing his physical 6-foot-0, 209-pound frame well at the plate with present bat speed and great incorporation of his lower half. Strong wrists and feel for the barrel allow Fontenot to stay on-plane throughout the zone as well as generating some leverage to the pull-side to create hard contact consistently. Led the event with a 98.1 max EV. The defensive actions for Fontenot were impressive in both the infield and outfield. Advanced footwork moving in all directions as well as showing present plus arm strength at both positions that plays up even more with pinpoint accuracy. The true two-way talent would finish his big day with a strong look on the mound. Operates from a three-quarters slot with a very low release point that gets downhill quickly from a compact arm action. Fastball lived 85-87 with significant ride and feel to spin (Avg. 2344 RPM). Showed ability to land for strikes on either half with much more velo to come. Slider works in the mid-70s with consistent sweep and innate feel to spin, living at 2700+ RPM. High-spin changeup at 75-79 mimics the fastball well with good ability to maintain arm speed and late fade. Will become more of a weapon as the velo on the fastball continues to climb. Fontenot will be looked upon for big role this spring as Cherokee Bluff looks to make another deep playoff run.
