Fall Top Prospect Games: Quick Hits

Emerson, GA - The Prep Baseball Georgia Staff hosted the Fall Top Prospects Games on October 20th at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson. This event was an opportunity to see top players from the states of Georgia and South Carolina. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in live games with Trackman. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

Today, we will begin the event analysis with a look at the traditional statistics collected at a showcase: 60 yard time, fastball velocity, exit velocity, arm strength, and pop times. In the coming days, we will take a deeper dive into the, TrackMan data, along with a closer look at some more position player data.

Quick Hits

Sam Clower, RHP, 2025, North Oconee
6-foot-3 182-pounds. We last saw Clower in August at Senior Games, and he was nearly 10 pounds lighter and sitting in the low 80’s and touching mid 80’s. Fast forward to October, and he ran the fastball up to 87, and consistently sat in the mid 80’s. He had 2 strong innings, pitching with confidence with multiple strikeouts. The frame is ready to continue to build, and we should see a big senior year on the mound from Clower.

Trip Fowler, SS/RHP, 2027, Greenbrier
6-foot 157-pounds. Fowler was a Junior Future Gamer in 2023, and has made some really big strides since then. We were able to see him late in the spring for Greenbrier and sat in the upper 70’s on the mound. Fast forward to the end of the fall and he is up to 84, and hit 2 balls out during batting practice. The added strength and size has really paid dividends, and he now has a strong base to build on with a lot left in the tank. He threw 3 pitches for strikes on the mound, and commanded the zone with confidence. Look for him to have a break out spring in 2025 with loads of potential both at the plate and on the mound.

Vance Bock, C, 2026, Buford
5-foot-11 225-pounds. Bock was a Junior Future Gamer in 2022, and continues to showcase the power at the dish. He had one of the loudest barrels of the day in the game to deep center. He posted a max distance of 368ft, and a max exit velocity of 98.6. He continues to showacse a strong arm, and good actions behind the dish. Look for Bock to continue to put strong power numbers for the next couple of years.

Makayle Moon, OF, 2027, East Forsyth
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Moon has been a standout for our entire staff all summer and fall, and closed the circuit with an outstanding overall performance this past weekend. Tools stood out instantly as a sub-7.0 runner with present above-average arm strength showing from the outfield (85). At the plate, Moon shows huge bat speed with some of the best rotational acceleration that you’ll find in the class at 29.9g. The barrel creates tremendous plate coverage and length through the zone backed by advanced feel. Drives the gaps with ease presently but will undoubtedly grow into significant raw pop as he continues to mature physically. As good as it was in BP, Moon would also lead his team with 2 hits in gameplay as well to close a big day. Will be a major focal point for Prep Baseball Georgia this spring.

Connor O’Mara, SS, 2026, North Oconee
Wofford commit. 6-foot-0, 175-pounds. From top to bottom, there may not have been a better all-around showing then O’Mara, who led the event in multiple categories. The shortstop has added muscle since we saw him the summer while maintaining plus athleticism. Opened the day with an impressive 6.59 in the 60 with a blazing 1.58 10 yard split. BP round was equally impressive, showing an advanced all-fields performance while spraying balls all over the outfield with some impact in the barrel. Defensive actions remain high-level with above-average lateral range and great footwork that allows O/mara to stay under control in all directions. Plus arm strength across at 89 with accuracy that further locks in his long-term potential in the dirt.

Hudson Kinman, C, 2026, Sonoraville
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 173-pounds. First time seeing Kinman in a showcase setting in a few years and the uncommitted catched impressed in multiple facets. A well-leverage right-handed cut creates easy leverage to the pull-side with some present feel for the barrel and real strength in the frame. Max EV 95.7. An athlete in the crouch with multiple sub 2.0 pop-times, with a best of 1.91 and present accuracy on throwdowns. Showed quality blocking and receiving in-game handling multiple pitchers he's never seen before.

Steven Tavares, 3B/RHP, 2025, Jefferson
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 210-pounds. We’ve seen the power from Tavares on many occasions, and Fall Top Prospect Games was no different. Easily the loudest showing we saw all day in BP with multiple triple-digit exit velocities including an event-best 103.2 on a pull-side rocket. It’s present plus bat speed for Tavares with a robust average of 80.9 that led the day by a wide margin while finding the barrel at a 86% clip. Ability to bend with soft hands showing for Tavares at the hot corner, backed by plenty of arm strength (86) to make all the throws necessary. The uncommitted senior will be a major piece for Jefferson this upcoming spring.

Andre Sweet, OF, Cherokee, 2026
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 153-pound frame. First showcase for Sweet and he made great first impressions for many. Swing continues to shine as the body continues to mature and grow. Shows an inside-to-out swing with sneaky back-side power and quick hands that show some whip in the barrel. Quickness on the base paths having multiple stolen bases in the games and running a 6.8 - 60 yard dash. Flashes the defensive tools from the outfield with good range and ability to track.

Jared Givins, 1B, Greater Atlanta Christian, 2026
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 224-pound frame. Confident, strong swings from the right side from Givins as he continues to flash the hit tool. One of the louder rounds of batting practice from the afternoon. Showed the ability to split gaps with an advanced all-fields approach. An advanced pitch recognition that pairs well with a strong XL frame that has shown the ability to catch up to the high heat. Flashed mid-to-high 90’s exit velocity. Exciting hitter to watch anytime he steps foot in the box.

Alex Espinoza, INF, Grayson, 2025
Emmanuel commit. 5-foot-8, 163-pound frame. Sharp line drives off the bat from Espinoza as the hit tool shined on Sunday. Smoked a ball into left field for a knock off an upper 80’s arm with the ability to recognize pitches with ease and make good decisions with a disciplined eye. Simple mechanics with a narrow base and hands held high with quickness throughout with a simple swing that splits gaps and generates trouble when he’s in the box. Glove-work continues to shine on the defensive side of the ball with flashy hands and bounce in his feet.

Seth Ussery, INF, Georgia Military College Prep, 2026
Uncommitted. 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame. Solid round of batting practice as the tools came out on Sunday with low 90 exit velocities. Smoked a barrel to the back-side in one of his at-bats during the games and showed the ability to catch up to the upper 80’s heaters. Showed confidence in every activity during the day with good glove-work, body control and bounce in his feet during his infield round. Strong showing and will be a name to know going forward.
