PBR Georgia Player of the Week: RHP Trevor Lovett & 3B Jonathan Hall-Thompson

We are into the home stretch of the regular season and the big time individual performances seem to get bigger and bigger. RHP Trevor Lovett (North Cobb; Georgia Highlands) claims Pitcher of the Week honors after two outstanding starts on the mound last week. 3B Jonathan Hall-Thompson (Fayette County; uncommitted) takes home the Hitter of the Week award with his big offensive output.

We will start by taking a look at the week Lovett put together. The senior right-hander got two starts and went the distance in both, picking up two wins. Win number one came on Tuesday in a 2-1 game against Marietta, and then win number picked was picked up against North Paulding, 8-1. Over the course of 14.0 IP, Lovett allowed 7 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run, and 2 walks, while striking out 15 batters. He also contributed on the offensive side, going 6-for-15 with 3 runs, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.

Hall-Thompson helped lead Fayette County to a three game sweep of Mt. Zion last week, moving them into 2nd place in 4A-5. In the three games, the right-handed hitting third baseman went 7-for-11 with 1 double, 2 home runs, 9 RBI, 8 runs, 2 stolen bases and two walks. Overall, he hit .636 with a .733 OBP, 1.273 SLG and 2.006 OPS. As of March 30th, Hall-Thompson was hitting .508, .598 OBP, .630 SLG, 33 H (5 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR), 30 RBI, 19 SB.
