UGA Commit. 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. His performance in GDC is exactly why he’s the No. 1 RHP in the ‘26 class, and Sharman even exceeded all expectations last weekend. To have a pro quality delivery and pitch life years ahead of his time speaks to how real of a prospect he is. This ‘22 JFG’er is the pride and joy of PBR Georgia, and the mental makeup is just as impressive as the player. While freshmen continue to get more advanced in Peach State baseball these days, only a select few of them are ready to contribute the type of impact Matthew already has. In #17 Loganville, he faced an opponent with top notch upper & underclass talent with a slew of D1 commits. He shut down multiple college bats with FB life you’ll only see in top JR’s and SR’s across the country. The pitch is as sure of a bet as it gets to have plus life in the future. His current FB velocity and feel to attack the AS/GS edge repeatedly are going to make this pitch a plus or better offering overall down the line, which I can only say about a dozen or so arms in all of GHSA baseball regardless of class. Not only is the stuff advanced, the delivery is right there with it. He creates a very good rhythm between his hands & lift knee, which leads to optimal separation timing. Sharman controls his body at an almost unfair level for his age, being able to move freely and build up the pace gradually while maintaining good direction to the plate. The prodigy is very smooth through up+down+out phases, and is able to compact things quite well (despite his broad, lengthy frame) for his smooth move down the mound. His lower half sink, stride, positioning at landing, and lead leg block are all shockingly ahead of the game for a ‘26. He is able to move explosively without rushing the delivery, allowing his entire arsenal to play consistently. Just like his FB, the 77-78 CH is the most advanced in the class without a doubt. This thing is an absolute time stopper, with sudden fade and unreal depth. He sells it just as good as he throws it. Although his 74 mph SLV is his current 3rd pitch, it got swing & miss on multiple good Loganville bats. The moon might not even be the limit for Sharman’s career.

Unreal 👀 ‘22 JFG’er. Faced one of the best teams in the state & did not blink. Love the gradual coil, effortless arm speed. FB/CH life well on their way to plus at such a young age.
