August 26, 2020
Five Star National held their 2020 Fall tryouts this past weekend in Jacksonville. Saturday (Day 1) was a full pro style workout, consisting of 60-yard dash, defensive evaluations and batting practice. Sunday (Day 2) featured live games for all players, but was cut short due to weather. There were a handful of standouts in attendance, take a look at who stood out from the 2021-2024 classes.
Standouts
2022 Hayden Perry, C, Episcopal
2020 PBR Future Games participant showcased above average actions behind the plate. Flashed a quick release, feet worked quickly out of the crouch with throws on line to 2B. Had the best pop time of the day with a 1.83. Perry is currently uncommitted.
2022 Davis Green, OF, Pierce County (GA)
The Georgia Tech commit has an easy, relaxed box presence. Swing timing is built off his controlled barrel tilt load, which allows twitchy actions on contact, keeping hands inside of baseball, with above average bat speed. From the OF, Green topped out at 87 mph.
2023 Riley Jackson, C, Eau Gallie
Jackson is a Florida State commit with a strong bodied, athletic frame. Showcased mature barrel actions, short compact swing, quick hands, athletic finish, power to all fields. Jackson has a lot of upside due to his above average actions with the bat.
