Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 25 rankings.

TEAM OUTLOOK

Coach Jimmie Lewis and this Bulldogs team just knows how to win. Coming off of a 35 win season that culminated in a 3A State Championship, Harlem returns the nucleus from the ballclub this spring and looks ready to make another run. With an experienced lineup that’s led by senior OF and USC-Aiken commit Tyler Simmons, as well as OF/RHP Caiden Coile and junior SS/RHP Will Holder, who are all coming off all-state seasons and will be looking to repeat. Twitchy senior infielders Jeremiah Hamilton and Jack Decker bring the energy to the lineup backed by impressive gloves in the dirt. A major factor for this ballclub this spring will be senior LHP/1B Amerson Guy will be tasked with being the shutdown reliever in the bullpen as well as some thump in the lineup from a 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame. Coile and Holder will be the main duo in the rotation with quality depth behind them to round out a very capable rotation. Keep an eye on junior utility Steven Harshbarger being a multi-use weapon for Harlem this spring after a big summer and fall, and could be a difference maker for the Bulldogs. The experience throughout this roster can’t be understated and should be the front runners in Region 4-3A with a chance for much more.
