2022 JUCO Opening Weekend: Scout Notes

The 2022 JUCO Baseball Season is here with the Ed Davis Kick-Off Classic taking place this past weekend Friday, January 28th - Sunday, January 30th at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, FL. The event featured a majority of the JUCO’s in the State of Florida and also featured 42 home runs being hit. Check out our early Spring look at some of the standouts from this past weekend.
(Fr.) Cam Collier, 3B, Chipola
6-foot-2, 210 lbs. 17 years old, the lefty bat made his college debut looking the part drawing 3 walks and going deep down the left-field line for his first collegiate hit. Present plate discipline, Collier waits for his pitch to drive registering a hit in all three games, works counts by drawing four base on balls this weekend. Long/efficient barrel that covers all of the strike zone with plus bat speed. The swing is elite, getting extension through contact with the ability to work all fields for pop. Very high draft follow this spring. 3-8, 4 RBI’s, 4 BB’s, 1 K, 1 SB, 1 HR
