The Scorpions College Showcase took place Friday, August 9th through Saturday, August 11th in Orlando, FL. The event featured players from the 2025-2029 classes participating in bullpens Friday night, pro-style workout Saturday, and games on Sunday, in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

On Monday, we broke down the stat leaders from the more traditional categories in our Statistical Leaderboards. We also broke down the data collected at the event from our partners at Trackman, Blast, and Swift in our Data Dive. Today, we will take a look at the standouts at the event broken down by grad class.

Lucas Badalato 1B / 3B / Spruce Creek, FL / 2025 Long, lean frame. Creates leverage in the box shows power potential. 87 average exit velo with a 93 max. 87 on throws across the infield.

Jonathan Bay 3B / C / Bartram Trail , FL / 2025 Strong frame behind the plate. 2.00 pop time. 86 average EV with a max of 101. Pull-side power potential.

Brady Blanks C / 3B / Jupiter , FL / 2025 Physical bat with juice to all fields. 90 average EV with a max of 94. Above average bat speed. 1.99 pop time.

Tyler Boyesen OF / Spruce Creek , FL / 2025 Athletic toolsy OF. 6.8 runner. 90 average EV with a max of 100 mph. Led the event with an average bat speed of 79.5. Stetson recruit.

Drew Buchanan SS / OF / THE BENJAMIN PRIVATE SCHOOL INC, FL / 2025 Uber physical frame with power potential. 91 average EV with a 94 max. 85 across the infield.

Devon Crown SS / RHP / SPRUCE CREEK HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2025 Crown led the event with a 6.66 60. Rangy defender was 84 across the infield.

Vince Ferrell OF / LHP / Osceola Fundamental, FL / 2025 6.74 runner with juice from the left side. 87 average EV, 97 max. 74 average bat speed.

Torin Foley SS / 2B / Villages Charter, FL / 2025 6.8 runner. Athletic mover and rangy up the middle. 83 average EV, 92 max. 70 mph bat speed.

Maximilian Gonzalez RHP / CARDINAL NEWMAN HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2025 6'3" 185 lb right-hander up to 89, averaging 87. Four pitches. Effective changeup with developing feel for the slider and curveball.

Kyle Hirsch RHP / RHP / PARK VISTA COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2025 6'3" 195 lbs. Fastball averaging 86 mph and topping at 88. High 70s slider thrown for strikes. Changeup plays well off the FB.

Ty Kennedy SS / 2B / East River, FL / 2025 Oklahoma State recruit continues to show well all around. Works under control in the infield with soft hands. 84 across the infield. Gap to gap hitter with pull-side power potential at 88 EV.

Tristan Lopez SS / RHP / WINTER SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2025 Lean athlete threw 87 across the infield. 83 average EV with a 93 max. Consistently on the barrel.

Carson Martin RHP / Lakeland Christian , FL / 2025 Pittsburgh recruit average 88 on his fastball and topped out at 89 mph. Fastball jumps in the zone with an average spin rate of 2379. Breaking ball continues to develop into a swing and miss pitch.

Nick Osborne OF / OF / Steinbrenner , FL / 2025 Osborne has added strength to his frame. 6.98 runner. 85 average EV with a 93 max. Power potential.

Dominick Patruno 1B / RHP / Englewood, FL / 2025 Strong two-way up to 88 on the mound and sitting 87. Switch hitter offensively, shows power from both sides. 91 average EV, 98 max.
