Summer baseball is underway. With the 2024 NPI in the books, we look to the 2027 class for our next player rankings update. With their freshman seasons complete and many being key varsity contributors, take a look at where the 2027 class stacks up.

Top 5 Analysis
The top of the class is SS/RHP Chase Fuller (Lincoln, FSU). Premier athleticism in the class. Stands 6-foot-2, 205 pounds with physicality. There’s juice in his bat already and was up to 93 on the mound this spring.

At number two is southpaw Rylan McMahan (Clay, Florida). The Gator commit is 6-foot, 155 pounds with room to add. Clean arm with the fastball up to 92 from the left side. Tight slider at 2600+ RPM. McMahan has a start profile for the next level.

Coming in at number three is RHP Landon Green (A3 Academy). Green has some of the best arm talent in this class. Sits 90-93 and has been up to 95 mph. The secondary stuff continues to get better each outing.
Number four in the state is RHP/1B Samir Mohammed (Jesuit). Mohammed has a strong 6-foot-3, 225 pound frame. Strength translates on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he has been up to 92 with his fastball. At the plate, there’s power potential with present bat-to-ball skills.
Rounding out the top five is one of the best pure hitters in the class in C CJ Wall (TNXL Academy). Wall is 6-feet, 175 pounds with room to add strength. Smooth left-handed swing with juice. Bat speed and barrel awareness are present. Consistent in-game hitter. Defensively, has continued to make jumps and will continue with added strength.

SS Graham Houston (Venice) is a riser in the 2027 class. 5-foot-11, 165 pounds and will continue to add. Switch hitter and advanced defensively in the infield. 24 hits as a freshman this spring on Varsity.

RHP Tristan Macpherson (Durant) is a projectable right-hander at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds. Fastball in the upper 80s. Arm is quick and clean and projects for more to come.
