Windermere, FL - Wednesday afternoon featured a back and forth battle between Dr. Phillips and Windermere combining for 23 runs. All eyes were on the 2020 Florida State commit Carson Montgomery when taking the mound. A rocky outing for the new addition to PBR's top ten national rankings. He allowed five runs in three innings, but still walked away with five strikeouts.

Windermere was able to score five unanswered in the first two innings, a big contribution from the uncommitted 2021 1B/INF Damian Goulart driving in three of those first five. He ended his impressive day going 2 for 3 with a double and four RBI.

Dr. Phillips showed time and time again throughout this matchup that they were not going away easily. The 2020 South Carolina commit Brandon Fields truly showed why he is a standout for this loaded class. He finished his day going 3 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI. Uncommitted 2020 Cooper Mills also had an impressive day for the Panthers going 2 for 3 with two RBI.

2020 Jason Grant posted an intense stat-line for Windermere High School going 5 for 5 with an RBI, stolen base, and two runs scored. The West Virginia Wesleyan commit displayed his multiple tools at shortstop, on the basepaths, and at the plate. 

Windermere went on to defeat Dr. Phillips 13-10.
