Updated and Expanded Florida Class of 2021 Rankings Released: Risers

Last week there was an update to the Overall Class of 2021 Rankings which featured two players from the state of Florida (RHP Irving Carter and RHP Andy Painter) that appeared in the Top 10. This particular class is not only strong at the top with high level talent, but has plenty of depth as well with 36 players from the state of Florida appearing in the Top 250 nationally. Yesterday, we made an update to the Florida Class of 2021 Rankings which saw some shuffling in the Top 5, but a couple of new names that made their way into the Top 10. This update to the rankings also saw the list expand to 100 players.
Today, we take a look at the five biggest risers to the Florida Class of 2021 Rankings through report and video. All five players highlighted below now find themselves within the Top 25 as well:
Nick Anello RHP / 2B / American Heritage, FL / 2021Miami recruit. Stands at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds with an athletic, projectable frame. On the mound he works with a quick, up tempo pace and a simple windup. Quick arm and the ball almost seems to jump on hitters with his delivery. Features a fastball that sits mostly in the 88-90 mph range, touching the low 90s with life along with a 64-66 mph curveball and a 72-73 mph change up. Pitches with confidence and looks to attack hitters. |
