We are just a few months away from the start of the 2021 high school baseball season, and many 2021 seniors remain uncommitted. We want to highlight these uncommitted seniors in an effort to promote these players and find them a home at the next level.
Today, we highlight uncommitted 2021 OF/LHP Kenneth Eccleston (Montverde Academy). Eccleston is an athletic two-way prospect at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. He has been a standout at several events in the past including the Florida ProCase and Senior State Games. Eccleston ranks No. 93 in the PBR Florida Class of 2021 rankings.

Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Athletic build, body is starting to fill out, projectable frame.
Defense: Fluid footwork, plays with bounce and gains ground through transfer, quick gather/release.
Arm: LH. OF - 86 mph. High 3/4 arm slot, long/athletic arm action.
Hit: LHH. Wide, athletic setup, short toe tap stride, slight barrel tilt load. Fluid bat path, short/compact swing, natural lift on contact creating launch, controlled momentum through swing, above average bat speed.
Power: 98 mph exit velocity. Gap to gap power approach.
Run: 6.85 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Tall and drive delivery, strong/athletic stride towards target, reaching balance point, finishing in line with target.
Arm Action: LH. Over top arm slot, long/fluid arm action.
FB: T88, 84-87 mph. Arm side running action, downhill.

Body: 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Has a slim, athletic frame.
Defense: Fields off right side of the body, with a one hand gather and quick exchange.
Arm: LH. OF - 84 mph. Loose, over the top arm slot, with average arm strength.
Hit: LHH. Starts with a balanced, athletic setup. Short knee lift, hands load back, with slight barrel tilted load, into a short stride. Swings a long, downhill leveled bat path, easy swing, staying inside the baseball.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. Opposite field approach.
Run: 7.02 runner in the 60. Runs with short, choppy steps.
Miami commit. Athletic and lanky frame at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds with room for growth. Loose arm action and accuracy on throws from the outfield with average arm strength. Quality first step and plays through the ball. Balanced setup at the plate with smooth load and average bat speed with 86 exit velo. As a LHP throws from the 3/4 arm slot and fly’s open some to 3rd base side on delivery. Sits 82-84 with the fastball with arm side run, 70-71 on the curveball with good depth, 76-77 on the slider with sharp break and 72-73 on the change up. Commands all pitches and has fastball arm speed with off speed.
Uncommitted. Long, loose, projectable frame standing at 6-foot, 165 pounds. Offensively, he starts from a slightly open stance and shows quick hands through the zone with a level, smooth swing from the left hand side to an uphill finish. Showed some pull side pop during BP. Eccleston will see a jump in power as he continues to add to his frame. From the outfield, he shows natural, athletic actions fielding the ball with an above average arm and accurate throw to the bag, topping out at 85 mph. On the mound, he shows a clean, loose, easy working arm which featured a fastball that sat 80-82 mph along with a 67-68 mph curveball. Look for Eccleston to see jumps in his overall game as he continues to strengthen his frame and mature.
