Uncommitted Spotlight: 2023 Jeremiah Henderson

This spring we will be highlighting players throughout the state with Uncommitted Spotlights. We will highlight one 2022, 2023, and 2024 player each week looking for a school to call home. The state of Florida is full of uncommitted players who have the talent to play at the next level. These players deserve as much exposure as they can get in order to help them find the right home.

Today, we will highlight 2023 Jeremiah Henderson. Henderson is an uber athletic outfielder at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. He attends Robinson High School in Tampa, FL. Outside of high school, Henderson plays travel ball for the TBT Swarm. Henderson showed his athleticism at the 2022 Preseason All-State where he ran an event best 6.56. He showed an above average arm at 86 mph. Robinson has a lot of tools on the field that will impress coaches and should be a strong follow this summer.

Scouting Report

6-foot-3, 200-pound athletic lengthy frame. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 91 mph. (64.8 mph bat speed average). (17.9 mph hand speed average). Begins in a quiet tall stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, shows a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Line drive approach. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.56.

6-foot-3, 195-pound athletic physical build. Solid in the box, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 91 mph. (68.66 mph bat speed average). (19.50 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was average, displayed a short simple swing plane and high finish. In his round he found a few barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 86 mph; shows firm hands, a clean exchange, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.61.
