Uncommitted Spotlight: 2023 Gavin Thomas

Rocco Iervasi
PBR Florida Director of Operations/Area Scout

This spring we will be highlighting players throughout the state with Uncommitted Spotlights. We will highlight one 2022, 2023, and 2024 player each week looking for a school to call home. The state of Florida is full of uncommitted players who have the talent to play at the next level. These players deserve as much exposure as they can get in order to help them find the right home.

Today, we will highlight 2023 OF Gavin Thomas. Gavin is a 6-foot-1, 194 pound outfielder from The Master's Academy. Outside of high school, Gavin plays travel ball with the Orlando Scorpions. We were first introduced to Gavin as a young player in 2019 at the Underclass Games. He earned himself an invite to the 2019 PBR Junior Future Games. Gavin has worked hard to add strength to his frame and it has really showed in his development. A 6.78 runner with an above average arm. Gavin represented Team Florida at the 2021 PBR Future Games and should be a name colleges focus on this summer.
