Gainesville, Fl. ---- We continue to look at the talented young underclassmen that attended the Florida Underclass Games on the campus of the University of Florida on August 5. Today we look at 2018 RHP/OF Tyler Olah from Lawton Chiles HS. We mentioned Olah earlier in our “outfield analysis” as one of the better outfield prospects at the showcase. Today we break down Tyler Olah on the mound.
Tyler is a 6-foot-3, 170 pound right hander with a tall lean athletic projectable body. He has a loose live quick arm with a fluid delivery and good rhythm. His fastball is 84-86 mph with downhill tilt. He takes the ball out to 1B and lands in line. Gets good extension out front. His curve ball is 68-69 mph with a big loopy downward rotation. The change up is 75- 77 mph with good arm speed. He was around the plate with all three pitches. He has a very high ceiling as his body, athleticism and arm action all project out. His stuff will improve with physical maturity and when he physically begins to develop, the colleges will be calling. It will be fun to watch when that starts happening.
