As we continue to reflect on the top stories of 2015, today’s article was one that highlighted a 2015 state championship team that is universally considered as one of the top high school programs in the country. Archbishop McCarthy won their fifth state championship in the last six years, causing social media to erupt and produce the hashtag, “Dynasty.”

Now that 2016 is in plain view, it will soon be time to dissect these top programs and make predictions about the upcoming season. Archbishop McCarthy will certainly be one of the favorites to win it all in 2016 as they return a loaded roster, but before then, let us reminisce one last time on the Mavericks’ 2015 state title.
