The day started off with corner infielders where 2019 MIF Connor Aldrich (Trinity Christian Academy, FL) showed well. He has a physical frame, moves well at third, and projects to be an above average defender. Offensively, he shows a feel for the barrel with line drives from gap-to-gap.
Middle infielders followed, where 2019 MIF Tucker Fine (Berkeley Prep, FL) showed an aggressive approach with above average bat speed. He also showed the ability to be an above average defender during defensive evaluations. 2019 MIF Keniel De Leon (Olympia HS, FL) showed a strong lower half, with pull side power. He really stood out defensively, where he has sound footwork and above average hands and transfer. 2019 MIF Robert Minotti (New Smyrna Beach HS, FL) has a somewhat stiff setup, but a lot of twitchy actions with bat speed and showed the ability to consistently find the barrel in batting practice.
2019 OF Justin Turk (Steinbrenner HS, FL) set the tone early for the outfielders by breaking a PBR Future Games record with a 6.43 second 60 yard dash time. 2020 OF/LHP Ryan Bruno (American Heritage Delray HS, FL) has an extremely projectable frame and the arm really works from the outfield, making him very interesting to follow tomorrow on the mound. His left handed swing has a slightly uphill path and creates some easy pull power. 2019 OF Derek Crum (Gaither HS, FL) has gotten noticeably stronger and stood out offensively with a short, quick swing and generates power from a strong lower half.
Capping off the day was the catchers. Offensively, 2019 C/1B Dylan Goldstein (American Heritage Plantation HS, FL) really stood out. A strong lower half, the left handed hitter took a loud batting practice showing pull side power with the ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap. 2020 C McGwire Holbrook (Bishop Moore HS, FL) has continued to lean out. Offensively, he has continued to shorten the swing and consistently drove the ball to the pull side. Defensively, the actions work and will continue to improve as he matures.
