PBR Florida Kick-Off their 2020 summer showcase circuit with the Southeast Summer Kick-Off and JR Southeast Summer Kick-Off. The events were held Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday May 27th at the Panama City Beach Sports Complex in Panama City Beach Complex. The first day featured prospects from the 2020-2022 classes. Day two featured prospects from the 2023-2025 classes. The players went through a pro-style workout followed by bullpens.
Today, we will breakdown each player in attendance with scouting reports as well as video of our top three players in attendance.

Broc Parmer C / OF / Pace, FL / 2022
Positional Profile: C/OF Above average body control with strength in a growing body. will develop into a power hitter with progression. Body: 6-foot-3, 195-pounds. Matured frame. Above average strength and possesses wide shoulders and long body. Defense: 2.08-2.13 pop times. Quick feet and comfortable in crotch. Stays low and balanced in the transfer. Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. Arm strength is starting to surface as the ball jumps out of the hand. Hit: LHH. Slightly open with weight on the back leg and hands cocked. Closes off on the front side but above average bat speed and wrist strength keeps him inside and true through the ball. Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Above average strength. On the barrel consistently. Run: 7.2 runner in the 60.

Brady Browning SS / 3B / Aucilla Christian Academy, FL / 2021
Positional Profile: SS/3B Stocky, in shape with a muscular athletic frame. Handles the bat well and moves smoothly at short. Skilled athlete who looks ready for the next level. Body: 5-foot-10, 180-pounds. Defense: Athletic set up and base. Good first step, soft hands and feet. Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Arm strength to play on the left side of the infield. Quick arm and gets behind the throw. Hit: RHH. High hands. Slightly crouched in stance. Quick trigger with above average bat speed. Let's the ball get deep and takes hands straight to it. Power: 92 mph exit velocity from the tee. Can run into balls pull-side. Makes contact out front and uses wrists well. Run: 7.21 runner in the 60. High knees. Thick legs with short strides but powerful.

Caden Turrell OF / OF / Port St. Joe, FL / 2021
Positional Profile: OF/OF Very athletic, high motor with quick twitch ability in all facets. Plays with confidence. Capability to add speed if he can eliminate stiffness. Body: 6-foot, 170-pounds. Defense: Choppy steps in approach to ground balls. Gets glove to most balls with ease and athletic enough for smooth transfers on just about every opportunity. Arm: LH. OF - 84 mph. Can be stiff at times but gets behind it to keep throws on target with more than enough strength to play. Hit: LHH. Quick twitch movements. Slightly open with hands close to ear. Separates well. Gets on the backside to let hands fly and stays level through the ball. Power: 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 6.94 runner in the 60. Good form. Some stiffness. Sprinter legs and fast twitch.

Will Barter C / OF / Pensacola Catholic, FL / 2023
Positional Profile: C/OF Athletic frame and will put weight on with growth. Long but not lanky and has the body control to continue adding on the tools. Body: 5-foot-11, 145-pounds. Long, lean with advanced athleticism and strength. Uses leverage in the body to throw and swing giving him a little extra than most. Defense: 2.13-2.25 pop times. Athletic behind the plate. Moves quickly and receives well. Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. Advanced arm strength. Can rush but doesn't need to as he has enough in the tank to get to any bag on a line. Hit: RHH. Wide base. High hands with a lot of wiggle and rock in the set up. Quick bat speed. Can get in and out of the zone at times but keeps margin for error wide on most swings. Power: 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Violent swing and fast hands gives him potential to drive balls with power gap to gap. Hits the ball hard with consistency, tries to do too much at times but the hand-eye is there. Run: 7.01 runner in the 60.

Payne Bryan 3B / RHP / Springville , AL / 2023
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Matured body. Handles the bat with the ability to swing with authority to all fields. Has good feel for the arm and uses the body well. Advanced on the field with potential on the mound and at the plate. Body: 5-foot-11, 181-pounds. Early sprouter. Has some definition and leanness to a fairly filled out frame with room to grow. Defense: Moves well for a big body. Soft hands on ground balls and gets rid of it quickly. Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Quick arm action and follows the throw to the bag. Adequate arm in the IF. Hit: RHH. Athletic stance. Gets in the legs well with a loose upper body Gets behind the ball at contact. Keeps the head still leading to above average contact. Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.86 runner in the 60. Acceleration stood out. Quick burst and efficient first step. Gets to sprint speed quickly which is a sign of above average body control. Will get faster.
Delivery: Simple delivery. Not much wasted movement, gets weight toward the plate with above average extension in the stride. Arm Action: RH. Short arms, a bit cutting off some velocity. Comes out of the shoulder making it hard to pick up. FB: T74, 71-74 mph. Has some cut to the FB as he can get on the side at times. Gets on hitters quick when he's behind it. CB: 61-64 mph. Arm action creates command issues as he will spike the breaking ball at times but has sharp bite to it when he gets extended. CH: 62-66 mph. Backs up well and comes out of the hand in the same slot as the FB.

Connor Burt LHP / OF / Gulf Breeze, FL / 2021
Positional Profile: LHP/OF Very long limbs. Uses his length for torque on the mound and at the plate. As he matures the body control and athleticism should continue to tick up as he has plenty of room to add strength to his long frame. Body: 6-foot-2, 170-pounds. Loose joints could cause concern for durability but has good body control and mechanics on the field. Defense: Gets glove above the ball at times but when he stays low and through it usually aids the throw. Arm: LH. OF - 77 mph. Gets the entire body behind the throw. Good control. Hit: LHH. Tall stance. Hands behind ears with barrel parallel to ground. Takes the weight to the pitch. Swings down and through and gets the hands out in front. Power: 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.44 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Methodical, rhythmic. Gets on the back leg and explodes well. Arm Action: LH. Fast arm but relatively easy action as it seems low/normal effort. Above average mechanics. FB: T80, 75-79 mph. Rides through the zone with little side to side run. Mostly true backspin. SL: 63-66 mph. Short, sharp break at its best. Sweeps through the zone when he gets the release point right. CH: 67-70 mph. Fading action. Cuts it off at times but has quality movement when he has the feel for it.

Positional Profile: SS/2B Body: 5-foot-10, 136-pounds. Defense: Can wait back on the ball but when he gets the feet moving his momentum works through much better. Arm: RH. INF - 69 mph. Stops the body at times cutting off the throw but the arm strength shows up. Hit: RHH. Long stance. Wide base and hands behind shoulders. Long swing path. Can get extended a bit early at times but stays in legs to get through at contact. Power: 72 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.52 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: 1B/3B Body: 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. Defense: Smooth at first. Soft feet, rarely gets caught in between. Arm: RH. INF - 72 mph. Clean arm action for infield with good mechanics. Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance. Hands in loaded position. Keeps hands high and barrel above the baseball aiding the barrel rate. Power: 78 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.61 runner in the 60.

Garrett Day OF / 3B / DAR, AL / 2022
Positional Profile: OF/C Body: 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. Very long. Lanky, suggesting weight could be easily added along with power. Defense: Athletic and gets to balls on the pivot foot ensuring a quick transfer. Arm: RH. OF - 83 mph. Crow hops from OF. Good separation in lower and upper body and throws on a line to target. Hit: RHH. Wide stance and open. Lot of movement pre pitch Hands get through the zone quickly. Can drop the barrel and create topspin as he comes through. Ball jumps when he gets the bat path right. Power: 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. Uses the entire body in the swing and can generate real bat speed. Pull side pop. Makes contact away from body with arms already extended at times Run: 7.07 runner in the 60. Long strides. Upright form. Could benefit from better arm action during sprint.

Brayden Denison RHP / SS / Rockvale , TN / 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/SS Body: 5-foot-9, 135-pounds. Athletic, springy frame. Quick twitch with strong wrists, ankles. Moves well with above average strength for the frame which will add some size as he grows. Defense: Soft hands, athletic footwork with good setup and timing. Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Arm strength will improve over time as the arm action is athletic and clean. Hit: RHH. Lots of movement in an athletic stance. Hands slightly low at the start of the load, big swings. Can get away from the body but uses the backside well and gets extension. Power: 76 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.54 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Tempoed delivery and transfers weight to the backside harnessing energy to explode towards plate. Arm Action: RH. Smooth with a clean arm path and loose. Limits strain on arm with above average mechanics. FB: T78, 74-77 mph. Some arm-side run at times. CB: 61-64 mph. Late breaking with 11/5 tilt when out front. CH: 69-72 mph. Fades away complementing the arm side run of the FB.

Nick Gates C / 3B / Ruckel Middle School, FL / 2025
Positional Profile: C/3B Body: 5-foot-9, 138-pounds. Defense: 2.51-2.61 pop times. Feet move surely and quickly in the IF and behind the plate. Comfortable in legs and stays low and level through throws. Arm: RH. C - 65 mph. Short arm action with good follow through and uses wrists to snap the ball out his hand. Hit: RHH. Straight up stance. Takes his weight to the pitch. Quick hands that have a direct path to the ball when he stays stiff on the front leg. Power: 73 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 8.84 runner in the 60.

Ethan Gill LHP / 1B / J. R. Arnold , FL / 2023
Positional Profile: LHP/1B Prototypical lefty look. Stocky frame and possesses advanced mechanics and delivery. Pitchability is present with room for added velocity. Body: 5-foot-11, 168-pounds. Run: 7.8 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Exclusively out of the stretch. Stays balanced and on line. Arm Action: LH. Over the top. Lots of true spin for lefty. Still has some arm side run. FB: T77, 76-77 mph. Mostly backspin that rides with some arm side run at times. CB: 66 mph. Big break, loopy at times but has hard downhill bite at its best. CH: 72 mph. Solid lefty change as it fades away from righties and falls off with late life.

Positional Profile: C/SS Body: 5-foot-6, 145-pounds. Defense: 2.08-2.27 pop times. Athletic and quick behind the plate. He transfers the feet fast and balanced. When he follows through, the accuracy shows out. Arm: RH. C - 72 mph. Strong and quick arm. Sometimes gets in a hurry but can put the throw on target for the most part. Hit: RHH. Wide balanced stance. Hands bouncing for timing. Hands get extended early at times but keeps the barrel flat and in the zone and finishes long and through. Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.45 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: 1B/3B Size and strength stood out. Frame suggests he will continue to grow and get stronger. If he harnesses the swing and keeps the body control at an athletic level he has the potential to be an impact bat. Body: 6-foot-1, 235-pounds. Imposing, stout frame. Adequate body control for age and size. Will develop power. Defense: Gets a bit off balanced at times on the set up but will become more comfortable with added innings at 1st. Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Raw strength with a long and unorthodox motion. Hit: RHH. Wide stance and slightly open with a lot of bat wiggle. Above average bat speed and stays in the zone a long time. Bat path is clean and drives balls with backspin well. Power: 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Surprising power even when hands get away from the body as he gets the barrel to the ball even when off-balance. Will develop power to all fields as he grows and gets stronger with age. Run: 7.75 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: RHP/SS Body: 5-foot-10, 127-pounds. Defense: Body suited for corner infield. Feet move okay, will add to throw with more rhythmic field set up. Arm: RH. INF - 70 mph. Arm is adequate. Stays true when he's balanced and fields cleanly. Hit: RHH. Slightly straight up in the stance. Relies on hands for the most part in the swing. Dips barrel trying to do much at times but keeps hands inside and on top of the ball when he stays within himself. Power: 62 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 8.23 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Out of stretch. Tall on the backside and leans on the front leg as he starts to plate. Arm Action: RH. Whip like arm action from 3/4 slot. FB: T74, 70-73 mph. Above average movement with arm-side run. Comes out of hand quickly. CB: 60 mph. Advanced spin rate on the breaking ball. Late break with sharpness to the shape. Can get slurvish at times. CH: 63-65 mph. Arm side fade. Comes out of the hand on plane with FB and couples the two pitches together well.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Body: 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. Defense: Long strides and fields the ball in rhythm Arm: RH. OF - 78 mph. Uses the long limbs well in the OF. Follows through the throw well. Hit: RHH. Short stance. Feet close and hands by the body Gets separation well. Gets around at times but the barrel stays in the zone long. Power: 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.58 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: C/2B Body: 5-foot-9, 165-pounds. Defense: 2.18-2.30 pop times. Rhythmic transfer. Can rush at times but when he's calm gets the body on line to the bag for true throws. Arm: RH. C - 72 mph. Body aides the throw that carries to the bag. Hit: RHH. Quiet stance with simple load. Sees the ball a long way. Mechanically sound swing. Hands stay with the barrel above the ball and gets his weight behind to finish the swing balanced. Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 8.03 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: LHP/OF Body: 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. Long torso. Thick legs. Holds weight well and frame suggests he could grow more. Arm: LH. Long body and utilizes the limbs to create tension for a quick arm action.
Delivery: Pushes off the rubber utilizing legs. Long frame and gets towards the plate on a downhill plane. Arm Action: LH. Short arms at times cutting off stride and extension at times. FB: T72, 69-72 mph. CB: 61-64 mph. Big break. True curveball shape. Good feel, will add spin with repetition. CH: 64-67 mph. Tumbling action. Potential for more downhill break as the arm gets stronger.

Positional Profile: RHP/OF Body: 5-foot-10, 135-pounds. Defense: Stays on toes and moves feet well through the field to aid backspin. Throws to target. Arm: RH. OF - 69 mph. Arm action is loose and clean in OF with more room for strength. Hit: RHH. Athletic stance. Hands back slightly locked in pre pitch. Simple approach. Hip clearance allows for hands to stay inside to get to most pitches. Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.64 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Tall body with long limbs. Short stride in legs as he creates a high release point. Arm Action: RH. Fast arm with high release point. Gets over well but has to rush at times. FB: T67, 65-66 mph. Downhill with true 4-seam action. CB: 48-54 mph. Pops out of hand at times but gets it on the same plane as FB for most part with 12/6 shape. CH: 54-57 mph. More of a circle change with screwball action as it tilts more than it fades.
