Sidwell's Scout Card: LHP Jesus Luzardo

Over the course of the season, PBR Florida Scouting Director, Rob Sidwell, will be out scouting some of the top draft prospects in the Sunshine State. Sidwell has served as a scouting supervisor for four major league teams spanning the last 18 years and now sits at the helm of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff.
On Thursday, LHP Jesus Luzardo (Stoneman Douglas HS, FL) notified scouts that he injured his elbow and a doctor at Miami said he may have a torn UCL. Luzardo is seeking a second opinion from the renowned Dr. James Andrews before finalizing his decision on what to do next. While an injury would certainly affect his draft status in some fashion, this scouting card is based purely on his early season starts and the abilities he displayed.
