Pro Youth Foundation Scout Day: Standouts

The Pro Youth Foundation Scout Day took place Sunday, May 22nd at Oliver Field in St. Petersburg, FL. The event featured players from the 2023-2025 classes from the Pro Youth Foundation participating in a pro-style workout followed by bullpens in front of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff.

Conner Bent 3B / Ocoee, FL / 2023Physical 5-foot-10, 180 pound third baseman showed a lot of juice in BP. Mature actions in the box with loose hands. Showed power potential to the pull side.

Beny Bikar Jr. SS / 2B / Sebring, FL / 2024Rankings StateRank: 167 / POS: 36
Athletic middle infielder. Hands work quick defensively with a clean transfer. Range laterally with a quality first step. Switch hitter, works middle of the field with loose hands and level bat path.

Anthony Brown Jr SS / OF / Englewood, FL / 2024Lean, athletic frame. Uphill path with the ability to launch on contact. Attacked the pull side gap with intent. Power potential as he continues to add strength.

Physical catcher who showed a lot of arm strength. 80 mph down to second with 2.00-2.04 pop times. Offensively, keeps his hands inside the baseball with a line drive approach. Worked back up the middle.

Trey Lawrence SS / RHP / Palmetto, FL / 20246-foot-3, 165 pounds and looked the part of a true shortstop. Soft hands, range to both sides of his body. Simple, line drive approach at the plate. Balanced in the box working gap to gap. Very projectable.

Ryan Morrow SS / OF / Lakewood, FL / 2023Long athletic frame showed well all day. 6.98 runner. 87 mph from the OF and showed soft hands with quick, twitchy actions at short. Balanced, line drive approach at the plate. Showed ability to consistently find the barrel.

Bryce Reddick OF / OF / Timber Creek, FL / 2025Athletic freshman. Looks the part. Very projectable from the OF. Quick first step with momentum towards the target on throws. Up to 83 mph from the OF. Loose hands at the plate. Worked the pull side gap with a line drive approach.

Jordan Smith OF / 2B / Samuel W. Wolfson, FL / 2024Athletic outfielder showed plenty of arm strength with a loose, easy arm up to 87 mph. At the plate, showed a mature line drive approach. Hands stay inside the baseball working back up the box.

Tylan Townsend 3B / OF / Rock Hill, TX / 2023Strong corner infielder at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. Showed raw power with exit velocity up to 96 mph. Hands are loose at the plate as he creates leverage to drive the baseball. Present bat speed with potential to hit for power at the next level. Like the upside.

Daunte Ward OF / C / East Ridge, FL / 2023Long, athletic frame. Moves well in the outfield with a short quick arm. Balanced, line drive approach at the plate. Present bat speed with ability to work both sides of the field.
