Prince Helps Lead Miami Christian to District Championship

A strong battle for the District Championship last night between Brito and Miami Christian.

Miami Christian had their ace on the bump in Chris Diaz. Diaz went 4.2 innings allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits with four strikeouts.

For Brito, Juan Guerrero got the start going five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Brito jumped out to an early lead in the third with a sac fly from Jhonathan Bassett. Miami Christian answered with an RBI single from Francis Garcia.

In the fourth, Miami Christian took the lead with an RBI single from Dylan Prince. Brito came right back with two of their own in the fourth to go up 3-2.

In the sixth, Dylan Prince came up big again. He drove a three run homer to give Miami Christian a late 5-3 lead.

Jeffrid Fermin closed things out for Miami Christian as they would go on to win and take the District Championship.
